I'll check that sight out Rev. K. I haven't had time yet. I emailed Ken, and he emailed me back, so everything is cool.

From that article... This guy is KJO. I've heard this argument from the KJO crowd before. I agree that the LXX should not be used to back a Bible translation, but I don't believe the LXX is a hoax.

Jesse, As I read your article, I made comments in the margins and find that I wrote "good!" very often! Your writing is an inspiration to me toward holiness. Sadly, this kind of preaching is seemingly rare these days. I appreciate what I believe is sound doctrine, that conforms to godliness! Thank you!
If I may, I'd like to quote a "B. Franklin" that you quoted who wrote in 1896:
I was very struck by the force of his assertion.
Certainly, obedience is a good thing. However, as you may know, there is much dispute about what/which of God's written commandments are instructions for us today. In another thread, a "pastor" was chastizing another for instructing believers to keep the Sabath!
To my question, (and I hope not to cause too much controversy): Regarding God's Law as given through Moses and the Prophets, what commandments of God are beneficial for the believer today?
Thanks brother!
peace, dmatic

The meaning of that statement simply implies that no matter what kind of mess one’s life is in, God can meet one at that point and get one out of whatever mess one happens to be in. As long as it entails genuine repentance: Meaning that one completely turns from their sin and bears fruit meat for repentance. God is not mocked, only those that forsake their sin will have mercy.

This is pretty much my whole article summed up in one post:
1. God wants everyone to be saved. (Eze 33:11, 2Pet 3:9)
2. Christ has died for all. (John 1:29, John 3:16, Rom 5:18, 2Cor 5:19, Heb 2:9, Col 1:20, 2Tim 2:4-6, 1John 2:22, 1John 4:15, 1Tim 4:10)
3. The only thing needed now for actual salvation to take place is for a sinner to actually repent and believe. (Luke 13:3)
His own impenitence and unbelief is the only thing that keeps back the grace of God. (Matt 23:37, Luke 13:34, John 5:40, Rev 22:17)
That is why the Holy Spirit is convicting all men of sin, righteousness, and judgment to come (John 16:8) striving with man to bring about repentance and faith.
Some sinners resist the grace of God (Acts 7:51), rejecting the counsel of God for their own salvation (Luke 7:30) while others do not resist the grace of God. (Acts 26:19)

So, a 'sinner' is one who trangresses God's Law. To repent, one must come into agreement that God's law is right and one's own way is wrong....and to agree to live by God's law. Correct?
Earlier, kenuncompromised wrote: Apparently, ken is saying that rejecting God's commandments is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
So, my question again, is: Do God's commandments, as revealed through moses and the Prophets, need to be kept today, to show true repentance from "sin" (the violation of His commandments)?

Many are called, but few are chosen! That's exactly right!
God calls all men to repent and believe. But God only chooses to save those who actually repent and believe! That is what they must do in order to be saved!

Here is a brother who took this message that "God does not accept sinners as they are" and the biblical truth that "sinners must do something to be saved" and put it's overall message into a video: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6503272052098986425I can't believe the quotes that he found from some of these modern preachers, who say repentance is not necessary to be saved, that preaching repentance as necessary is a false gospel, and that Jesus saves sinners IN their sin rather then FROM their sin! He quotes from this article at 28:15 in the timeline of this video.

Christ died for us as sinners, so that we, as sinners, might be forgiven if we repent and believe from the heart. But nobody is saved until they repent and believe from their heart. But the moment that a sinner does repent and believe from the heart they are a born again new creature and the grace that comes through the cross covers all their past sins and they are justified.

That was awesome piece about the apostate church. So incredible what is going on today. We better hide in the ROCK, CHRIST JESUS. There is a church in Grants Pass where the pastor says on the radio, "Come as you are." It is said in a cool way, as cool is today. There's a name for it, a modern name but I can't think of it to describe some churches, oh! CONTEMPORARY GOSPEL, WORSHIP, ETC. COOL!!! It's sad, because God does not accept sinners as they are. Sinners then think God is all accepting and repentance is nil in their life, unless God gets a hold of them. It all stems from that philosophy, "I AM O.K. YOUR O.K." that infiltrated the church in the 70's. It made everyone feel comfortable with their SIN.

etc.

Here is the message of LOVE to the sinful man (because Jesus came for sinners not for the righteous.) God is, and everything that is was made through Him. Yes, out if His abundance love He made all things. From the beginning we had it all for he gave us all we ever needed...Him. But from the temptation of the evil one Eve was tempted to sin, to become greedy in heart and desire to be wise and powerful (higher as God..''you will be like God...'') So, she sinned and her husband with her. From then they sinned against the most High, the one who loved them the most. By that sin we became cursed to death, even eternal death. But God in all His love and kindness send His Son (God the Son) in the flesh to live a perfect life and die a horrible death in our stead, yes even in our place. He did this so that the ones who lived before Him (in the flesh , for He always was.) could look at the promise of the Holy one and believe, trusting in Him for life. Also so you and I and all of us my look into that mirror of truth (by the law;because ''by the law is the knowledge of sin'', and by the Spirit for it will ''condemn the world of sin'', through the law.) This was done so you may look to the law and do one of two things by the condemnation in your heart by the spirit. Either pride up against the law and the spirit and keep before your ayes all the bushes of unbelief to keep on walking on the road you ALWAYS were on which end is destruction. Or dear friend, you may humble yourself before the Holy One in condemnation knowing you deserve His righteous judgment which is eternal death which you were already leading towards. But in His abundant grace and mercy it says,''God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.'', and so as you read your condemnation you may also read your liberation the message of life as is called the Gospel meaning:the good news ....and rightly so!! For God in all His Love and Mercy towards us He send His beloved Son (God in the flesh for it had to be God who pays or the law is not satisfied) Jesus the Christ (Christ: Savior) Oh. and what a wonderful Savior! To die in OUR PLACE so we may simply look to Him, yes simply LOOK, and you may ask ''how can I look?'' You can look by simply believing in Him, that He being God died for you in your place paying for ALL your sins and lived again defeating death so He may now sit at the right hand of the Father in all His glory. By this He will do the rest. For He saves vile men like us and takes out our heart of stone and puts a heart of flesh in us who's desire is to do god and no longer evil, who's love is not toward self but towards Him, yes ''Him who justifies the ungodly'' He WILL justify YOU. The act of believing in Him, simply believing in Him, that IS repentance for by it He changes you. By this you may know that you have eternal life because your Will has been changed through believing in Him and He has done that change not you for it is impossible for a sinner to not sin unless His will is changed to not want to sin and by HIS grace to not sin. So is NOT OF WORKS, so NO ONE CAN BOAST, It is A GIFT FROM GOD! Yes, not of him who wills, nor of him who runneth but of GOD who shows mercy!!! So simple? Yes many say so ...that's why you must become as a child to believe, to see. Him who is Love Because of Love and the overflow of it From God who is love, God made the heavens and the earth, through it He made everything in them. Through it He made men and woman to display it, Being children of Him who is love. Because of sin we had to fall, so that through the fall He could show His love. He demonstrated His love through liberating us to Himself through Jesus Christ the righteous. Because of Love He saved me, Yes, Him who is love.

1 John 2:3-5 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
God's Word.

Thanks Jesse for these scripture verses. I have been studying them and I do believe it is the duty of a believer to proclaim these verses especially if you are preaching to the lost. I don't believe as of yet that we can draw a line in the sand and say at this point you lose your salvation but I do believe that we need to say "this is what the bible says." I think this is why christians go around and around trying to decide at what point do you lose it. I don't as of yet believe we can know that. Just wanted to say that, I don't plan on posting on this board I just listen it. I have been looking up alot of the verses you gave and 1 John really stood out in my mind today. I run into alot of christians at work that say they are saved and I just give them the word. If they are living with someone and they are not married I tell them for instance this is what the word says about fornication. If you were to discuss theology with them it would just be your word against thiers. The same thing when trying to teach another christian even though I know you give scripture when you teach. You can't argue with the word and I'm always glad to see when you give scripture. I just wanted to update where I am at, I haven't posted much on this lately.

I like to see pre-destination like this: "The class begins to sit around the room to prepare for their exam. They sit with their sharpened #2 pencils, and wait. Suddenly, the Teacher enters the room; and begins passing around the exams to the students. Just before the Teacher tells them they can begin, He makes a startling announcement. He already knows what each of them will score on the exam. He tells them to begin; and leaves the room. Each student reacts differently. Some throw the exam on the floor, and just say "forget it!" Others proceed to go ahead and take the exam. When the scores are given out; they were right on. Those that did not take the test got zeros; while those that took it scored accordingly." Since God, the Creator, created us; He knows our wiring better than anyone else. He knows what trials and tribulations will bring us to Him; and what will turn us away. I hope that made sense.

Praise Jesus!
God does accept sinners as they are! However, the sin they are ignorant to is exposed by the Holy Spirit and the power to overcome is offered. If the sinner chooses to remain in sin, then he is deceived and loves Satan more than the Redeemer, Jesus Christ!
