- Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer - Why Revival Tarries by Leonard Ravenhill - Revolution In World Missions by K.P. Yohannon - Tortured for Christ by Richard Wurmbrand - Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala - Praying Hyde by E.G. Carre - Hard to Believe by John MacArthur - Rut, Rot or Revival by A.W. Tozer - George Whitefield by Arnold Dallimore - How to Win Souls And Influence People by Ray Comfort
Of course, this isn't necessarily in order...

I did read a book by Bill Schnoebelen, who was formerly in the occult and is now a born-again Christian. I forget the title, but it was a great read and to those heathens who know what I'm talking about....you should really read it!!

I read this guy's book and he was far worse than you Cheeka. You know what...he got saved.
Bill Schnoebelen Biography Bill is an internationally recognized speaker and author of seven books and countless booklets, articles and tracts. He and his wife, Sharon have been happily married for 30 years. He graduated from Loras College in 1971 with a degree in music and education. He received his Masters in Theological Studies degree from St. Francis School of Pastoral Ministry in 1980 and his Master of Arts degree in counseling from Liberty University in 1990. He is also a Naturopathic doctor, a Nutritional Herbologist and a Certified Natural Health Professional. Bill is listed in Who's Who in Religion.
He has been studying religion and spirituality in one form or another all of his life, and is an ordained minister. Additionally, he has been a careful student of the UFO phenomenon since the late 1960's. He was gloriously saved by Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) in 1984.
Bill is a recognized authority on alternative religions and the occult, and spent sixteen years as a teacher of witchcraft, spiritism and ceremonial magick. His spiritual search also included seven years in the Church of Satan. Additionally, he spent nine years as an active member of the Freemasonic fraternity and five years as a devout member of the LDS (Mormon) church, where he held numerous offices, including elders' quorum president. He and his wife also held temple recommends in the LDS church for four years.
Bill's books include Lucifer Dethroned (autobiographical) and Blood on the Doorpost, which he co-authored with his wife. The first book is a gripping account of his descent into the darkest side of mysticism and magick and his restoration through grace and the love of Yah'shua (Jesus). It is additionally, a very thorough historical survey of contemporary Satanism. The second book is gleaned from their thousands of hours of counseling with people coming out of oppressive religious systems or dysfunctional relationships and functions as aa graduate level course on prayer therapy and spiritual warfare.
Masonry: Beyond the Light has been described as the finest book on Freemasonry written by a former Mason and is our best selling book. It is a thorough survey of the history of the lodge and an examination of the spiritual dynamics which underlie it, especially in relation to the Bible.
Space Invaders is another top seller, and is the fruit of nearly thirty years of research into the UFO enigma. It contains astonishing answers to some of the most perplexing aspects of flying saucers and also the alien abduction phenomena which seems to be sweeping the country. It places the saucers and the aliens under the light of Yahweh God's Holy Word with amazing results which will prepare you for some of the coming end-times deceptions.
Wicca: Satan's Little White Lie is a survey of the modern "white witchcraft" scene from the standpoint of one who was a high priest for more than a dozen years and who taught and initiated hundreds of Wiccan novices. The Craft's harmless appearance is revealed to be a mask for a more ominous spirituality.
Bill is available for speaking and conferences and ministers on a wide variety of topics, including:
evangelism and soul winning, health, addictions and healing - both spiritual and physical, apologetics for the Bible and Bible study, spiritual warfare, the UFO phenomenon, examinations of various religious groups - including (but not limited to) Mormons, Freemasons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Witches.

I read this guy's book and he was far worse than you Cheeka. You know what...he got saved. Yuhuh. By the way, this Bill fellow of yours isn't widely respected. His timeline as well as his curriculum vitae are highly improbable. Oh, and the 'rituals' he described in Dugeons and Dragons simply do not exist. He also claimed to have ordained women as a Catholic bishop, which is just ridiculous. We all know that Catholics tremble in fear at the thought of women in their clergy. Soz, bub. I'm not impressed.

He was in some kind of off shoot of the Calthoilc Church. Seriously, his book is great, you should read it. Um, no. The guy is pretty much full of it. He contradicts himself in his own books, and, according to his own chronology, is a fraud. Example? For instance, in Masonry: Beyond the Light, Schnoebelen claims that he was a Mormon and a Mason when he was 'saved' in mid-1984; this implies that either he was already a member of both in 1980 when he was studying theology at a Catholic seminary, or his claim of "five years" as a Mormon was exaggerated. In Wicca: Satan's Little White Lie, Schnoebelen reputedly claims that "Up to our departure from the city of Milwaukee in 1984, we were presiding over one of the oldest and largest networks of covens" - implying that before his conversion in that year he was simultaneously a Mormon, a Mason, and a Wiccan. The Benjamin Creme guy sounds like a senile old cult-leader that took too much acid in the day.

I don't think you should be so quick to dismiss him as a fraud. From what I remember, from reading his book, he was a high level Mason and Mormon, due to his involvement in the occult. He had understanding and was more or less a "made man", thus he was able to rise in both of those organizations. The Benjamin Creme guy is into the New Age. So what is your story? In reading you're posts it appears as though you have some understanding in these concepts.

I don't think you should be so quick to dismiss him as a fraud. Why not? His own biography conflicts with itself, he has no proof to back up any of his claims, and he caters to fundies. Sounds like a fraud to me!

Don't you think it's weird that a lot of people are looking for all the religions to unite, and for world unity just as Ben Creme was talking about. Makes you wonder if they really know who their following.

I find it rather difficult to believe that the man was a Mormon, a Mason, and a 'Wiccan High Priest' all in the same year. First of all, Mormons tend not to like Wiccans. At all. Second of all, it usually takes a lifetime to become a so-called 'Wiccan High Priest'. It also takes a heckuva long time to attain a high position in the LDS church. This guy claims he did it in under three years. Bull? Bull.
His other claims are also unsubstantiated. There are no 'authentic rituals' in Dungeons and Dragons. None. The closest thing to a ritual in that game is the reading aloud of cutsey, fictional storylines.
He also claimed to have been a 'vampire'. Someone needs to take his medication bigtime.
Soz, Pat. Your little buddy strikes me as the kind of con-man that uses an elaborate, fabricated self-history to attract attention and awe, like L. Ron Hubbard.
