To understand that the serpent was Satan, we look to the curse in Gen 3:14-15 for the serpent, and see that while the serpent bruised Jesus' heal (was going ot be behind Him being nailed through His heels to the cross) Jesus would bruise his head (Jesus overcame death and took back the deed to the earth and will defeat and place Satan into the lake of fire.

There should be no need to look between the lines for such an issue, if everything in the Bible is 100 % true. Why can't it say it just simply say it was the Devil instead of making no comparison to the Devil at all?

The bible could have CLEARLY said that the serpent was a fallen angel. It didn't.

Jesus often in spoke in parables so that only the ones really interested in knowing the true would seek him and ask of it.
The Bible reflects this character of God. Many just want to come against it, and all they see are contradictions, because that is what they desire to see, rather than dig deep and ask the Lord to help tem understand what they are reading.
Gid uses many things in our life to humble us and cause us to seek after Him and His people.
Since you don't understand His motives (none of can know fully because His ways are not ours) why would you be so quick to judge them? When we all were kids, many times we did not understand why our parents wouldn't tell us things, and later found they had a great reason, or just wanted us to seek the answer to help in our learning process.
Many times my discussions with people cause me to dig deeper into the Bible for more answers. Maybe God wants you to do the same?

Ah, so you're telling us that explaining why it's NOT Satan is a bad idea, because we would never be able to understand God. BUT YOU saying it was the Devil is NOT trying to understand God??
Except maybe, you're a "Chrstian" so can get away with trying to think like God??

If god wanted us to think that the serpent was Satan, he would have had it inscribed as "Satan."

It's a myth, so what difference does it make either way?
