OK so I despise Calvinism, and this guy I debated who was a Calvinist, says he believes that Adam and eve had free will to do good or evil, and that because they chose evil, we are all doomed to hell, and that their god chooses who ever it feels like saving and leaves the rest to burn because it doesn't please him. This guy is kind of an inconsistent Calvinist
Now I noticed that a problem with this form of Calvinism is that, according to Calvinist logic, if a person is evil, they can only do evil and never good. vise verse, if a person is good they can never do evil, it is not in their nature to do so.
That would mean that Adam could not have sinned on his own, which would mean that their god was the one responsible for sin.
Anyway, what if the Calvinist says, "Well, Adam and eve are the exception to that rule". Maybe because Adam and eve where the "leader humans" in their worldview, and if "they chose evil we become evil and if they chose good the human race would be good"
Well I would reason back that the exception only applies to "Adam and eve being leaders" there is no reason to believe that the exception would apply to the whole if evil can only do evil, if good can only do good thing.
IF someone could understand what I'm talking about and help me reason this out to prove this form of Calvinism false, it would be so appreciated, you have no idea, this is driving me insane. I know how to refute regular consistent Calvinism, but this weird form of Calvinism is hard for me to dispute. and my mind keeps on obsessing over this, I pray someone can know what I'm talking about and explain it or show why this form of Calvinism is false, for my own piece of mind. Thank you all. God bless
