To say, "you are judging" is itself a judgment.

I like that one too. The eloquence of it really helps to get the point across.

I don't know if I posted this one before or not. I actually haven't even had the chance to use it. I haven't been accused of judging people anytime recently. Anyway, when someone says, "You're judging me and the Bible says that you shouldn't judge!" Say this: "Well, let's see what the Bible says about that. Let's review the books of the Bible for a second. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, JUDDGGEESSS! There is a whole book on judging!" Then you smile.... ;D

I am new here, I did not read every post, so this might be one used allready. But in the past when open air preaching and someone would tell me that I was brainwashed, I would respond by " Of course I am brain washed, that is washed by the blood of Christ. You too need to have your brain washed from all the filth of this world. "

A few lines on judging:
When accused of this I will respond:
I am here to warn of the One who will judge every thought, word, and deed.
I have come to warn you of the day of Judgement to come; but today is the day of His mercy.

either you have Jesus take your wrath, or youll take it yourself
Jesus said your either with me or against me there is no middle ground
Jesus said if you love me you'll keep my commandments, if you sin you hate God!
Your criminals! "with a face of shock and disturbance"
in God's perspective this place is devilish
God is angry with the wicked every day
what would you sell your soul for? nothing you say, but what ever is keeping you from following Jesus that is what your selling your soul for!
if someone says "I dont care if I go to hell". response: that is psychotic, in a court of law you'd be called legally insane
the grace of God is here, and that grace is that He offers repentance
doesnt anyone care that the word of God is being proclaimed? this generation is so apathetic! zombies!
has your repentance been as severe as your sin
6.5 billion people are going to hell "just saying what is on your heart is often from the heart of God"
Jesus said He was coming soon and that was 2000 years ago! so you better believe He is coming soon
Jesus was the holiest, most honest and loving man that ever lived actually He was sinless and perfect and the world killed Him. Why would the world kill the holiest man that ever lived!?
Youve sinned ten million sins and it is storing up like a dam of water that will one day crush through for you are storing up wrath for yourselves
Jesus does not only save from the "penalty" of sin, but also from the power of sin!
Jesus is LORD and Master and every tongue will confess and every knee bow
think about your children if you dont care enough about yourself think about them
GIVE GLORY TO GOD! "since that is the supreme object of evangelism we might as well preach it" "it is the everlasting gospel Revelation 14:6" "God centered evangelism for the glory of God and then for the lost sinner" "jealous for His glory" "obedience to the nations for His names sake" "let worship be the fuel for missions flame" "let the Lamb receive the reward of His suffering"
ect...

Last weekend I was preaching and a loudmouth woman was walking by and said "When I go to hell, I'm going to take it over!" I replied:
No feminist are going to take over hell! They are all going to have to SUBMIT!

Here's a good verse to give someone who says they are a christian but doesn't like what your preaching or wants you preaching to them:
Psalm 119:165 165Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

A heckler will say, "You need to preach more about love!"
A good response is, "Your right! Cause these sinners don't love God! You need to love God that's why they rebel against God..."

Thats a good one Jesse. One thing I have used that is similar is when an atheist says that we got our morality from man say your are correct, the first man was Moses and he got morality from Gods hand. ;D

I use this one often, Going to Church every Sunday makes you a Christian as much as going to McDonalds every Monday makes you a big mac! I use a variation of this one (I am not an open air preacher, but I use this one talking with people one-on-one): "Standing in a church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car." (I first heard this one from my friend Lou) I have a tape by Pastor Troy Jones where he's talking about Romans 7 (specifically Romans 7:24), he said: "Aint nothin' 'bout salvation that makes you wretched!" In response to being saved by works or saved by faith only: "We are saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone." - Martin Luther

Amen. I did not know Martin Luther said that. The first I heard use that was Duncan Campbell.

Hmmm...I don't know, Micah. I heard it during a sermon once and the preacher never said who it was from, so I Googled it one day and it said Martin Luther said it. I just re-Googled it and it showed up as a Luther quote and as part of Duncan Campbell's "The Nature of a God-sent Revival" and in that piece, Campbell attributes this quote to John Calvin (http://unsealedprophecy.wordpress.com/2008/06/28/the-nature-of-a-god-sent-revival/).
With my most recent Google search, it appears to be a quote from John Calvin since most of the places I found the quote attribute it to Calvin, but is also sometimes attributed to Luther. I am not sure which one actually said it since none of the references I found for it actually cite the work and just cite the author.
