Liked the video. Glad you are doing this brother...
One thing, isn't his name spelled Irenaeus and pronounced Ear-a-nay-is?

Yeah, I didn't tell them that I was Brother Micah. They did ask for you once or twice and I told them that I know you, but that was about it. Yeah, I don't blame my preaching on anyone else...

Yes, let's pray for this brother. According to his regular website, www.venomfangxsite.com, his parents took it down. I guess that he is still under their roof and therefore must abide by their rules...

I think Brother Jed has quite a bit of video footage on him on VHS, but he let someone borrow it in order to get it up on the internet. They haven't done so. I wish he would let me have the tapes. I would get them up in a hurry!

Steve, here's the only one that I know of: www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6Xj9OnBDmIHe is much older in this video. He is blind as well. You don't see him preaching until a couple of minutes or so into the video...

Yeah, they seemed to really like us! I felt very welcome there. Steve, it is so ironic that this guy has blinders on his guys and can't even see his hypocrisy! I guess his hatred for me is justified because I am more of a "hater" then he is...

You're being very manipulative Jonathan. I've never said on my show that I am willing, open and ready to debate anything and everything. And don't lie about me and say that I haven't studied this issue. I have studied it. When did I say that I wasn't willing to debate a Pastor with a bachelor's degree such as myself? I just debating the issue. You are the one who seemed to lack confidence. I have complete confidence in my situation. I just have more important obligations right now. I might be willing to debate this later on in the Summer when I have more time.
And you need to stop lying about our interaction. I responded back and forth with you for quite some time and you never provided good responses to my objections to your position. And then, like I said, you basically exalted water baptism to the place of the Holy Spirit saying that water baptism and not the Holy Spirit is what sealed believers into the Body of Christ! I told you that was idolatry and blasphemous and didn't wish to talk to you about it anymore.
Now, since you are being as pushy about this as you are, I am just going to ignore you all together. And if you continue to talk about this on our radio show webchat, you will be banned for good. I don't wish for it to come to what it has, but you seem to lack self control on this issue. You know, self control IS a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Your seeming inability to take a no on this issue and continue to be pushy makes it seem like you are cultish. Just being honest. Oh, and this is my last post on this thread...

That's funny Steve. I didn't even notice that it sounded like that. I've heard Paul Washer say something to the effect that we all sin everyday! He is one of those double-talk Calvinists. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth. He tells you to live holy and then basically says that perfection is impossible. Why even bother striving for something that is impossible. I don't strive to jump to the moon. I don't strive to grow wings so I can fly. I don't strive to be 7' tall. These things are all impossibilities. Why strive for anything that is impossible? Like Steve said, he calls himself a 5-point Spurgeonist. Spurgeon was called an Arminian by the Calvinists of his day and Spurgeon called the real, consistent Calvinists of his day "Hyper Calvinists".

It's not unreasonable to have checkpoints near the Mexican border and do random searches of vehicles. This wasn't near the Mexican border. It was 75 miles inland. What they did to him was unlawful and I hope that he wins big in court. The government and authorities are getting out of hand. Personally, I would probably just answer their questions and that would be the end of it. BUT, he has every right under the law to refuse to answer their questions as an American citizen...

Jonathan, this is getting kind of old. You really need to grow up a bit. Every week we have our radio show and every week you are there talking about how you believe that Baptism is not only required for salvation, but that Baptism actually regenerates a person. I asked you nicely several times (not just this week but many weeks) to stop talking about this subject on our webchat during the radio show. You have refused to do so, so I banned you for the day. You are welcome to come back next week as long as you don't talk about the same subject again.
Our radio show webchat is not a place for you to come and basically harass other listeners with the same thing every week. If you want to talk to someone about this, then come on this message board and discuss it. The webchat is for discussion amongst the listeners regarding topics that we are talking about on the radio show. It is not the place for you to push your agenda.
I am not interested in debating anyone on the subject of Baptism right now. Maybe in the future. Right now, I am only interested in debating someone on Perseverance of the Saints or OSAS. I think that Jesse is interested in debating someone on Original Sin, Perfection and maybe even Open Theism.
And don't even try to say that my not wanting to debate has anything to do with me not having the truth or being scared, etc. Just not interested at this time. I've talked to you about it enough and don't care to discuss it with you any further. By the way, why does it have to be a Pastor who will debate one of us? What can't it just be you. You seem so sure of your position. Can't you defend it?

Yeah, he's definitely a Calvinist. More like a Spurgeon-type Calvinist. In other words, he preaches as if each sinner does have the ability to respond in repentance and faith to the Gospel, but his doctrine is the opposite. This is the first I have heard of him open air preaching. I know that he was a missionary for a long time, but I'm not sure how experienced he is as an open air preacher...

Hmmm...lots of bad theology there, but let's not even bother discussing that since Paul Washer is a Calvinist. Besides the theology, there were three things that really bothered me: 1) He didn't talk enough about specific sin in my eyes 2) He seemed to try to get them to come to Jesus because they will be "content" in Jesus and not in the world. This is a wrong motive and he brought it up several times throughout the preaching. 3) He didn't mention repentance even once! This is very hard to believe since he preaches it so hard in the Church. I was just baffled by this last one... I'm glad that he had an attentive crowd that was calm and listening though. That was good...
