During the end of July through early August myself and a few friends plan on traveling the country speaking to youth groups on the topic of holiness and purity especially as it relates to relationships with the opposite sex. The plan is that the girls speak to the girls and guys speak to the guys. If anyone is interested in having us speak to their youth group please let me know.
Blessing,
Miles

Miles
If you are in NC around the Charlotte area, you have an open invitation to come and speak to our congregation and/or youth group. Just let me know if and when you would be available at least a couple weeks in advance.
Grace and Peace, Joe

The date range will be between July 25 and August 15 for the tour. As we have more engagements we will be able to get solid dates in.

Such as courtships?

Yeah, we will be talking about courtship vs. (the worldly) dating quite a bit.

Amen that is a great topic! Something I think many need to hear. Many haven't been exposed to it to even know there is such a thing. I know I really wasn't until the last few years. I listened/read a great series by Denny Kenaston on this topic that was great. Paul Washer has a good sermon on it also. Both are on Sermon Index.

Yeah, Denny Kenaston has some good stuff (though I haven't heard that particular topic by him). I have heard the Paul Washer dating sermon and I thought that was good too. The group of us has decided to listen to that as homework before our next meeting. The absolute best, most simplified article I have ever seen though is Ellen Duncan's (John Duncan's wife) tract called "The Match-Maker". gospeljohn.com/dating.htm

How can I get a copy of this to give to my kids? The Match-Maker? You can print it off on his site. He will also send you some if you want.

I am going to have a flyer that is made for pastors in a couple day. Do you think he would rather have it emailed or have you already talked to him and he wants me to call him?

I have not talked to him yet. If you email me the flyer you are making I'll hand it to him and talk about you and encourage him to invite you. They are always looking for good speakers to youth about holiness and evangelism.
I think it would be great to have you speak to the youth at our church... there is a move to encourage people in our church to evangelize and I'm seeking how to come along the pastors to get people to actually do it and not just talk about it. A revival in the youth would be a great start!
Call me/or e-mail me. Blessings, Doug 585-227-5793 doug@dougrenz.com

Hey Bro,
Are you guys going to have any type of notes or curriculum? My pastor just asked me to pray about having a teaching/program for those that are looking into marriage/courtship.
I think this is one of the most important, life changing, topics dealing with Christians. Marriage is such an important thing. One that cannot be taken lightly. It's a shame it's really not talked about much.
If you have anything, or something you recommend, I'd like to look into it.

Yeah, we will have notes for our message. The way we do it is girls speak to the girls and guys speak to the guys. So, our messages are slightly different for girls and guys. There is a lot of stuff we recommend. Right now I am reading "I kissed dating goodbye" by Josh Harris which I have found to be an excellent book. I can't put it down. I also have been highly recommending anything by Eric and Leslie Ludy for years. www.ericandleslie.com. For girls there is a good book called Authentic Beauty and aimed at guys there is a book called "God's Gift to Woman". They are really good. They actually have quite a few things that are good. If you ever find a video by them which is them speaking to a really big group in Spokane, WA called "Preparing for an Amazing Love Story", get it! It is really good but is not offered on their site anymore. I have also listened to Paul Washer's Dating Sermon not too long ago which I found to line up mostly with how I feel on the issue. By the way, what are you doing this summer now that school is over? Blessings, Miles

I've got about 2 weeks left here. The high schools here go a little longer than the colleges/universities.
I really don't have much planned. I'm going to mow my parents', grand-parents', and aunt's lawn to help them out. Other than that I will try to spend some time in study. I've been learning Greek and I'm going to try to put more time into it.
I've thought about looking for another job, but I don't think I am. I don't make very much at all at the school, but I can't complain about the time off. Right now having more free time is more important than money.
Maybe I can stumble across some places to preach during the summer. There really isn't many places to preach around here except at the University or around the bar area on weekends.

Yeah, I am just about finished with it. I really like it, I can't put it down. I'll be reading "Boy Meets Girl" next. I guess that is about his courtship to his now wife.

I read just about all of them when I was single. I liked Eric and Lesli Ludy's When God Writes Your Love Story and When Dreams Come True the best...
Hey Miles, did I ever tell you the story that I use when talking to young people about this issue...the story about Adam and Eve? You'd remember it if I told you...it goes along REALLY well with the idea of courtship and waiting on God...

Yeah, I am a big fan of Eric and Leslie Ludy.
I don't think I have ever heard the story, I would to hear it.
Just finished Joshua Harris' "I kissed Dating Goodbye" and I am about start "Boy Meets Girl" tonight.
