So I'm sitting in my house, listening to some local Christian radio station, and I hear that Rob Bell is coming to Raleigh during his "The gods aren't angry tour"
The gods aren't angry: Nov 21 Raleigh Meymandi Concert Hall
On the radio, the host was talking to a caller. "Aren't his videos awesome. Which one is your favorite?" "Oh, I've seen them all. I guess my favorite would be when he was mocking that guy on the street corner with a bull horn screaming about Jesus."
I am thinking that I might go to this event in Raleigh, with my bullhorn and with my sandwich board which says, "God is ANGRY with Wicked Every Day", and preach the real gospel of the bible!

I don't understand? What do flip flops have to do with anything brother?
The only preacher I know who preaches in flip flops is Ruben. He also wears muscle shirts and shorts. That's just Ruben I guess.

I assume that Josh is talking about the attire of "Emergent church" people. They typically dress down pretty drastically....

I assume that Josh is talking about the attire of "Emergent church" people. They typically dress down pretty drastically.... Yeah, I just realized my comment made no sense unless you already knew what I was referring to. And that's nearly impossible on a message board. When I think of people like Rob Bell, I think of them trying to be "cool" and purposely trying to fit in. And the picture of an Hawaiian shirt with flip-flops come to mind. I think the main reason they dress like that when preaching is to be in direct distinction with the "fundies." And if anyone is wondering, no I don't think it is a sin to ware flip-flops... Just thought I would say that. I probably shouldn't have even made the comment. It was needless and didn't make much sense. Anyways, I say go for it. Go preach the truth to them.

I have wanted to dress up in shirt in tie but also wear flip flops (with my skull and crossbone dress socks, of course) when preaching on campus. I have recently discovered how comfortable flip flops can be.

I give a hearty 'AMEN' and 'HALLELUJAH' to the first 10 bull horn preachers that show up at that event to preach that "God is ANGRY with the wicked everyday!!!" But please don't wear flip-flops if it's cold out... frost bite will mess you up.

Brother, I'm totally there. There is no way that I'm going to miss it. You should come with! It will be a great opportunity.

I am going to wear the sandwich board and use my bullhorn: But I will also bring the big banner in case anyone else wants to use it: And the hand held sign as well will be available: But because the tour is called "the god's aren't angry" the Ps 7:11 sign will be used, and because of "The Bullhorn Guy" video, my bull horn will be in use tonight.

Video footage is coming soon.
The Lord provided 5 free tickets for us so we were able to actually go and hear Rob Bell. And I want to say that Rob Bell is a heretic. I went there open minded and very non-critical or judgmental. I thought, "Well, maybe everyone is just too hard on him. Maybe we only disagree about evangelism methods" but nope, he's a heretic. His doctrine of the atonement is heresy and his doctrine of repentance is heresy.
His doctrine of atonement is this: God didn't Himself require blood. Men required blood to make themselves feel better and God has just kinda gone along with it.
His doctrine of repentance is: repentance is not mourning and weeping or turning from sin. Repentance is simply rejoicing that God has already made peace with God. Everyone and everything is already reconciled, they just don't know it yet.
I'm going to edit and upload the video footage to youtube and will hopefully get a lot of the Rob Bell Nooma followers to get these videos in their web searches.

I got the impression from Rob Bell that he is a Universalist. He said that God has already reconciled the entire world, but men don't know it yet, so we just have to go around and tell them. So evangelism is simply telling sinners that they are already at peace with God so they don't need to worry about it anymore. And since everyone is already reconciled "God is not angry, God is love" he said.
So we preached outside the event, that the whole world still lies in darkness, that God is angry with the wicked every day, that unless a man repents he will surely perish, to remember the story of Noahs flood and Sodom and Gomorrah, that there really is a hell and many people are going there, etc.

And we preached that God offers salvation to all men through Jesus Christ. (In my previous post, I only listed what we preached which was contrary to Rob Bells message).
The videos are coming soon.

Jesse or RevK, Can you please take about 10 minutes to summarize actual quotes from Rob Bell that I can use to expose him more easily?
thanks, Eric T
