I wanted to thank you for opening up your website to discussions concerning doctrine (teaching), theology, and church history. I created the Important Messages website to take the most life-transforming gospel messages and put them all in one place. Along those same lines, I began posting articles on my blog "Theology Matters" so that I could take some of the most important, life transforming articles and make them available to visitors of the Important Messages website. It's no mistake that I am reformed in my theological views, but I think that you'll like the site even if you are the most heretical armenian (lololol... just joking ;D). importantmessages.blogspot.com/and remember to keep pointing people to www.importantmessages.org

Miles, I really enjoy the Billy Sunday pose you did in that picture that I received in the newsletter! I have been most impressed with how you guys represent open air preachers with a dignified presence on the campus... it's great to see men dressing professional when working for His kingdom!

I agree that for open air preaching dressing in a dignified manner greatly helps, even for street preaching. You appear to be much more of a respectable figure, as opposed to the "crazy street preacher" image that many have in their minds. It also helps you stick out and get more attention.

Wow, you are one of the first whose critcism of our clothes wasn't an attack. I even had some through email challenge me on some theology points and a little bit on the method (this person is a steet preacher as well) and sort of tried to make his theological point by concluding with something to the effect of "I mean let's face it, you guys wear suspenders..." LOL I do love the brother and he may even read this but that's ok. At least that is how I sort of saw it. I will say though, today I did wear jeans and sneakers on the campus... I hope I don't get fired from the team.

I was commenting to my wife about this subject at lunch. I told her the same thing, that in all the pictures and videos I've seen, I can pick out the preacher almost immediately.
Here a John Piper quote that might help you defend your position for wearing what you wear in the open air:
It's no easy thing wearing a suit for long periods in the open air! But your temporary affliction is for the comfort and salvation of those the Spirit of God is seeking to save!
