www.monergism.comso no one will think I am being deceptive, this is a REFORMED (or "Calvinist") site - oh no, the "C" word! But it has some great books and resources available, especially articles on church history (which Reformed people LOVE by the way). If you ever want to get the best Biblically researched viewpoints on Calvinism, even if it is to support or defend the Arminian viewpoints, this is the place to go. There are some horrible Calvinist sites out there, as there are horrible Arminian sites, (because they are unbiblical) but this one presents some of the best defense (and sampling) of Reformed theology I've seen. Best part, they speak out against hyper-calvinism, etc., so there are no wacknut views allowed. Could someone suggest a similar site for the Arminian viewpoint, so those of us who are always comparing the two views can see a solid defense of Arminianism? thanks....

LOL! That's a low blow Jeff! That's like when you're picking teams in high school and the last kid is left (you know the one that's athletically challenged) and you graciously give him to the other team. P.S. Sorry if someone who reads this was "that kid" and this has reminded you of all that rejection. If so, I'm sure you can find help at the powerful Calvinistic site: www.crystalcathedral.com

You are not calling Jesse Duplantis a Calvinist? Everything on his website points to him being Arminian. Here are some quotes from his website that drive this point home:
"So, the only way you could possibly “lose” your salvation is if you deliberately reject Jesus as your Lord and Savior. And that is a pretty strong thing to do."
"Today, make a quality decision in your heart to change your ways into His ways!"
"By admitting the sin to God, asking for His forgiveness and making a quality decision not to do that sin again, you are fulfilling the requirement of repentance."
"...all you have to do is reach out to Him now in prayer. He is listening and waiting to come into your heart and help you live a better life. Will you invite Him in now? "
Now that's some on-fire gospel preaching there! We should all model Jesse [Duplantis] in our Open Air Messages!!!

yeah, didn't know I had started something so weird. I like the moergism site though, seriously. I have some concerns with some of the "Calvinistic" teachings, but I'm at the point now where I think this:
If I can't defend my beliefs using ONLY scripture and not a single theological term, then I probably don't know enough scripture to back up my views. Keep it simple is best I think. I love to study and research, but I certainly complicate things quickly enough.

I have been to Mr Hinns crusades & the gospel was presented clearly, Holy Spirit was there(convicting people of sin with weeping and contrition, healing a man beside me in a wheelchair).....he did not go through the ten commandments, but he did address sin and righteousness & the covering of the blood though. Arminian? If any of these people talked about on here seems to err, write them, call them, email them, pray for them. Don't sit in a padded pew and throw mud is all I'm saying. Paul said avoid profane and vain babblings which lead to ungodliness ......& in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves.... 2 tim v16&25
