So I just watched the video... I feel kind of fluffy.... Gimmie a kiss! (gggrrffghrpphhh... oops, sorry, just threw up a little...) Here's what I learned... and as we all know it is all about how we feel and think, not about the righteousness of God. ( sarcasm intended ) 1. God loves us.... Rob tells us that and he is right, God does love us. He proved that by dying for us. Of course Rob makes no mention of that in this video..... 2. We need to not talk to people about Jesus, but instead, just listen to their stories.... weeeee, story time! Lemmie get my blankie. I mean after all people just want to be heard, other people have problems too. Maybe we can look to psychology to help them out... assuming they even want help in the first place.. have we ever stopped to think that they may be happy in their misery? 3. We should really stop waving heaven in front of people like a carrot on a stick... Don't know that I have done that so I won't comment any further on that one 4. Rob Bell is soooooooooo sweet. He has a heart for people. And he just wants all of us to be happy! 5. Evidently Rob speaks for all of us when talking against the Bullhorn Guy. 6. The last thing I learned is that evidently Rob wants to bring on the Kingdom. It really seems like he believes we will bring the Kingdom to earth if we do certain things....... ahhh, there is the problem eh? Man I tell ya what, this emergent church movement is something else. Humanism if ya ask me. Where is the true and only Gospel? Where is the righteous judgement of God. Where is the reality of eternal punishment if you reject Jesus? These things are realities. If we do not preach the whole council of God then we are doing a disservice to the sinner, and we will be held accountable for this. I for one will not stand by and just "show" people I am a Christian, I will also tell them... Amen?

I always wonder if people like this read their Bibles and if they do what do they do when they see Jesus mention fire and brimstone and point out the hypocrisy and sin and all that other harsh stuff. Or when Paul talks about judgment? Maybe they just read a devotional, those filter out all the bad stuff and have all the nice stuff neatly packaged with a funny story. Hmmm...just a thought.

That's a great idea, "Devotionals for the Emergent Church." Day 1. Love...love...love, love, love, hugs, love, and hugs. Day 2. What is love? Love is love. Is love "love"? I love love. Day 3. Is there anything better than love?

Day 4: How does one love?.... love
Day 5: Love is all you need.
Day 6: There is no need for change... God loves you just the way you are...........

I just realized I didn't read the first post very well. I watched Bell's video, but not WOTM's. Well I finally watched WOTMR's video, and point made very well if I do say so.
Anyway, just a clarification....
Later ya'll,
Zac
