My first response to that was laughter... and then I kinda realized I shouldn't be laughing because this isn't an act... it actually happens and people buy into it. How sad.
It reminds me of a South Park episode I saw once a long time ago, where Cartman turns into a charismaniac preacher and basically hoaxes all the little kids into giving him money... the way they both speak is so similar...

I saw southpark once for a whole 5 minutes a few years back when I watched TV... I'd take TBN over that filth anyday.I donl;t think it's appropriate for a Christian to watch southpark which places Jesus in a boxing ring with satan and goes into all sorts of debauchery.Tell me you're not into that show?

I don't watch it anymore - I just used to (and frequently). I agree, it is quite inappropriate. I have a good memory, that's all.

I watch South Parl all the time, but I also watch TBN, mainly for comic relief. In fact I have a great post to make in the week ahead about how $68.17 a month will solve all your problems. I have the number to call for you and everything. Now exactly why this number, Im not sxure, but it came from Paula White and watching her makes me wonder if she is on crack and one of Jesse's past clients from his days before he got reborn.
It is scary again to find common ground with a grimace as I say it, Biblethumper!!!! I take it we don;t have too many fans of seed faith, prosperoty gospel and TBN in this neck of the woods, do we?

South Park is funny! Sometimes too gross for me (the talking poo? nasty!)
And is great political/social satire on all spectrums. As a liberal I feel made fun of some times!!

Being a former fan of the show, I think that for all the blasphemy and crudeness on South Park, they actually make some good points about things in general - I just don't care to watch it anymore because the bad definetly drowns out the good by a large margin. I also used to watch TBN for kicks back in the day, but it was never for long because it always made me sick - and they pulled it from our cable not too long ago. Now, I don't have a TV, so... yeah. No, I don't think anybody here is a fan of TBN, especially the seed/word of faith and prosperity gospel nonsense. It is a breeding ground for heresy.

If you feel like puking, might I suggest some antiacids? Usually works for me better than prayer does when I feel like puking......

Ok, as awful as South Park is, and it is, has anyone seen the episode on Mormanism? Yes, although I don't know if it's entirely based in fact. It could have been somewhat embellished. The Scientology one was amusing as well. These are pretty old. Isaac Hayes, the guy who voiced Chef, quit the show (some say he was forced by the Scientologists) over the degradation of Scientology therein.

I heard it was not the scientology one, but the miracle of the bleeding Voirgin Mary episode that caused him to pack it in.

No, I remember pretty distinctly that he (he is a Scientologist) quit the show after that one, citing his disagreements with how Trey and Matt bash on religion. It happened last.. February, I think. You know, despite the fact that he endured their making fun of everyone else's religion besides his own, and THEN quit, only after they bashed Scientology. That is why people thought the Scientologists forced him to quit.

Well, isn't that the usual case though, regardkless of what religion you belong to? It is okay to make fun of everyone else's beliefs but your own.......
Drawn Together, by the way, took a swipe at Kirk Cameron and The Way Of the Master this week, but was actually, on the ither hand , decent enough to flash his real website linka cross the screen.

It is an old habit I can;'t seem to break. That and the use of bifocals, trying to see the screen which is above me, unlike on a typewriter. so I usually end up going back later on and retyping the errors as I see them and time allows.
The problem is I have done over thirty years of professional writing since I sold my first story at age 14. It took me two decades on a manual typewriter, before I shifted to an electric one and I made the shift to computersonly because of need. I type using four fingers and go as fast as any trained typist. The problem is a computer keyboard, I have discovered, is different from a typewriter itself. You must strike the keys much lighter or you get skips, a million extra letters and so on.
Just pray about it and you should be able to interpret the writing.
Just for the record, Dog Lover, I do watch and like Way Of The Master. Surprise, surprise. I have even covered them favorably in some of my secular reviews and articles.

I think the videos are a bit on the emotional side... There is nothing wrong with emotions, but I think it can be dangerous when people start going to Church just to get the emotional buzz.
I guess I don't get what "dream" he is talking about, I thought we were supposed to live to glorify God, not chase after dreams... and did he actually steal that guy's coat on TV?
