Quick ministry update. We now moved up to Oklahoma. We preached today on the South Eastern Oklahoma State University. For about 4 hours we had crowds of 20-50 students. We reasoned, persuaded, exhorted, rebuked, pleaded, for students to give up all their sin and turn to Jesus. Many of the Christians on campus really liked what we were doing, other professing Christians would cuss us out etc. Overall, I think we answered the students questions about life, God, sin, the bible in general. There were many thorny ground hearers, stoney ground hearers, but also good soil and I believe God will give the increase. Other pictures are available at: www.openairoutreach.com/gallery/album15QUOTES FROM STUDENTS:"I really like what y'all are doing. You're really sticking your necks out there to talk about what's right and what's wrong. Glad there's someone out there doing something about it." -Bubba Pingleton, Science Education major. "I like what you're doing. It's really stirring the bucket." - Clifford Cox, Music Education major.

In the pic of me preaching, the Dean actually came out and warned the students to not get in our faces, and to refrain from profanity. She actually stayed for a good majority of the preaching, listening and sometimes talking wiht other students.
I believe on this campus there was lots of good soil. However, I think many of the students have been being fed a "man-centered" gospel. The common phrase I heard come out the mouths of students was that we are supposed to "meet other people's needs" and form "relationships" with people before we share with them the Gospel.
In a small group discussion I posed the scenario, what would you say to me, to bring me to Christ. They gave me the relationship and meeting my needs line, but I went on to tell them (in the scenario) but I'm very wealthy and all my needs are being met - I've got a wonderful house, maids and butlers, and a gorgeous girlfriend who I sleep with...All my needs are met. I don't need God.... ... ...All any of them could tell me (generally) how much I was missing without a relationship with Christ...and that this kind of person would HAVE to have had something gone wrong in their lives at some point, so that Christ can meet their needs. No one mentioned what the TRUE need was. No one brought up sin. No one mentioned repentance or judgment to come. *sigh*
But praise God, I was able to reason with them from scriptures and some students walked away with the call to holiness ringing in their ears.
