The subtitle to this book is "A call for God's people to rise up and preach a confrontational gospel"

Great book! I first read that around 1996. It rocked my comfortable little gospel boat for sure. I have read through that book about 4-5 times since.

That's a great deal Rev K. I, like Messenger Micah, have read it over and over.

Yes, in the late 90's and early 2000's I read repeatedly his books, "The End of the American Gospel Enterprise", "Whatever Happened to the Power of God", "How Saved Are We", "From Holy Laughter to Holy Fire", along with "It's Time to Rock the Boat".
In addition to the material written in these books by Dr. Brown, the quotes, footnotes, bibliography, etc., is a great resource. He quotes the missionaries, martyrs, reformers, revivalists, etc.

I got my Michael Brown books and I started reading the one called "Go And Sin No More." It is really good. I have read over 100 pages in a day or so. I know that this isn't an "Evangelism" book, but I think people on here would like it a lot. Let me wet your appetites with some quotes from it:
"Lord, help me to hate sin in my life as mercilessly as I judge it in the lives of others."
Speaking of Luke 22:61-62, "Could it be that when we sin, rather than turning His gaze away from us, Jesus turns and looks straight at us? The very thought of it is agonizing."
"It is one thing to struggle; all of us do. It is another thing to be a deliberate, willful sinner. It is one thing to slip and fall; who doesn't? It is another thing to habitually and consciously say yes to the flesh and no to the Spirit. Those who live like that- as purposeful, willful, deliberate, continual sinners- behave like God's enemies, not His friends- or His servants. How can they truly call Him 'Lord'?"
"Even though God's will is for us not to sin, if we do sin (and we will) Jesus pleads our case with the Father. He is our Advocate!"
Now go get it and read it! ;D

Rev K,
I concur 100%. I have long said that this is one of the best books I have ever read. We were down in Brownsville when it came out so I've had it for some time. If there's one book that I would recommend to all Christians (especially new Christians) it's this book.
