I was at the International House of Prayer in Missouri today, and went to their book store. A small little book called "Foundations of Wesleyan-Arminian Theology" caught my eye by Mildred Bangs Wynkoop. It was first published in 1967 during the time of the past Holiness Movement, but more recently has been republished. It's a very great book. It goes right through the entire history of arminianism in Christianity, and explains the many different views and variations. It's a delightful book and thought that I'd recommend it for anyone else into studying theology. The back of the book says: "Herein is a most discriminating study of the basic differences between historic Calvinism and Arminianism and the developments in both theological traditions that have created the mounting barriers to the understanding of each others position. Dr. Wynkoop deals authoritatively with the critical issues, and incisively cuts through the prevalent fuzzy theological concepts, but all with delicacy and understanding. The monumental contribution of John Wesley in defining the doctrine of sanctification is a key emphasis in the book, along with the central issue of Christian assurance." I've seen this book also Jesse. I think it's very important to do a well rounded study on these topics. One of the biggest complaints of Arminians over the years is that they are often misrepresented. Thanks for the link. By the way how did you like IHOP? I've heard it's pretty awesome there.

At IHOP they pray 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That is pretty awesome.
