I recently read Jed Smocks "Grieve Not the Spirit" and absolutely loved it. I agreed with every word. Miles also recently read Jeds book "Walking in the Spirit" which is a comentary one Romans 6,7,8. Miles loved it. Awhile ago I also read Jeds "Who Will Rise Up" an autobiography. All these can be found at: www.brojed.org/literatu.html

Yes, "Who Will Rise Up?" is a great book. Very stirring indeed. I have also read "Grieve Not the Spirit" and "Walking in the Spirit".

Yup, I thought Jed's book was great. I can't wait to read 'em all. His two smaller books would be great to give away while witnessing to sincere Christians who aren't to sure about holiness and the "method" of confrontational evangelism. I had a great time preaching with Jed in San Marcos this week. I must say, he is a tough act to follow, the students love to hate him and he is very skilled at working the crowd.

Even if you don't believe in all of his methods and all of his beliefs, his books are excellent.

Who will rise up was really a good book. I think his methods and some of his theology are in left field, but the book did show two things. One, he is sincere and two, there is a "method to the madness". Totally disagree with the method, but it was clear from reading his story that he isn't just a nutcase yelling random statements at people.

yeah... I take issue with some of his theology as it's openly pelagian, but hey, he is a pretty smart guy and I won't deny that. Good writer. I have read part of "Who Will Rise Up", it is on that www.gospeltruth.net site... as are his other books, I think.

Lately I've added "Who Will Rise Up" to my reading list again. I'm reading multiple books at once, but everytime I think of picking up Jeds book, my Spirit leaps within me! And everytime I put it down, I'm deeply encouraged to go back out there unto the battlefield.
If anyone hasn't read "Who Will Rise Up" at least once, I strongly recommend it.

Interesting. I just finished reading through this book for the second time yesterday. I constantly read excerpts here and there.
The first time I read it through was in February of 2005.
