It's a good one. You should all read it. Maybe then you'll see that Hindus and Buddhists have many of your same beliefs in their texts.
PS: I'm not being fecitious with this post. Seriously. You should read it. If for nothing else then to educate yourself on what other people believe. It isn't that long, and it's really a good read. They have it at Barnes and Noble in paperback for like, five bucks or something. It's a tiny little volume, but it has a wealth of thought provoking knowledge in it. I've learned a great deal about how to live life from reading this text, and I keep a copy of it on my bedside table right beside my collection of ancient Chinese philosophy and my NIV copy of the Holy Bible.

I had to read this book for a world religions class. It was disgusting satanic trash. Their beliefs are not the same.

Are there any specific parts that you disagreed with? Just the same, those who have not read it cannot judge it for themselves in an educated fashion, and so I think they should read it before making presuppositions about Hindus and their beliefs.

She has probably never read it. Have you read Siddhartha? "disgusting satanic trash". I don't even know what to say. There are so many things wrong with that post. Also, why is Lolita banned from being a thread topic?

Also, why is Lolita banned from being a thread topic? Yes, I have read Siddhartha. I wasn't a Christian at the time. They are all terrible lies. I live in a very new age and eatern religion area. I have seen what this stuff can do to people. It is so sad. Have you ever seen a sanyasi? These people will go insane and it is all for their religion! If you think Christianity is bad then you should look at eastern religions! Look at the caste system! Look at what hinduism has done in India.

If you think Christianity is bad then you should look at eastern religions! Look at the caste system! Look at what hinduism has done in India. Economists are calling India the next economic powerhouse. They have all the infrastructure necessary to explode, they just lack the skilled labor, which they are rapidly importing from the United States. You can still see the merit of having the understanding of the outlook of another group of people though. Understanding their philisophical backgrounds can help you to communicate.... or I guess you could just call them satanic trash. Either way, they still both have literary merit. Just like I would look at Venus de Milo and remark at how beautiful it is, you can surely read a book and recognize it for its contribution to literature.
