If you've not read this book yet I recommend you don't rest until you've got a copy. I've read lots of Christian books, but this one remains for me at the very top of the list. Written by Norman Grubb. Seriously read this, it will change your life.

I also have this book; apart from the Bible itself I have never in my life read anything so powerful! NOT EVER!

I agree! I read this book awhile back. A Total surrender to God. "Willing to be made willing"! Then the Holy Spirit takes total control and what an effect!

I read most of that book about 5-6 years ago. I probably need to read it again though because although I thought it was good, it did not have the effect on me it seems to have on you guys.

So far, God has changed almost my entire outlook on the Christian faith. I have always had a burden for prayer, and this intensified, and clarified it. Not only that but I now understand fasting much much better. For a long time I have been waiting for God to make me willing, but no fruit ever came from it, but now God showed me throught this wonderful book (newsong), that I have to be willing to be made willing. Praise God.
I said in another post, every street preacher is an intercessor. Why? They bear the load themselves. They not only pray for the lost but labor to reach them. That is an intercessor. But some go farther in the life of faith then others. Some fast and groan and seek God more, and some less. Some like Muller and Howells give it all to God, and I am feeling led that way as well, and have been since I read Mullers autobiography some time ago (a year I think). But this book is so much clearer than Mullers.
For those who liked this book read: The intercession of Rees Howells by: Doris Ruscoe

Wow. This is a great book. I am so glad I bought it the other day. I read through a third of it on the plane ride home from LA. I can hardly put it down. Eli told me "it is the closest thing to the Book of Acts outside of scripture."
Evan, I now have a greater respect for you and your disciplined life. I feel like I somehow just peered into a depth of understanding where you are coming from. God bless you brother.
This book is both inspiring and challenging.
I highly recommend multiple readings of it.
Miles
