"Understanding the Cross" by Michael Saia
I just got this book and it looks great. I've also been reading "Does God know the Future" by Michael Saia and have enjoyed what I have read.
Michael Saia was a missionary for about 17 years. He did a lot of work with YWAM. He has good theology (moral government). His book on the atonement looks really good. I'll let you know more once I finish it.

I've been wanting to ask you if you'd read this book yet. I've got it on my Amazon wish list. I'm glad to hear he's MG. It'll be good to read another MG author's view on the Atonement.

I was very excited to hear that he was a MG guy. His book on the atonement looks excellent. He not only covers the atonement, but also deals with the nature of sin and the nature of perfection. These are very important issues. You could get the book directly from Michael: Email: mikeandcarol@gmail.com Website: www.upbuilders.com

Thanks, Jesse. I was wondering if Saia had a website. I bookmarked it.

The more I review this book, the more that I like it. It teaches very good systematic moral government theology. It explains the nature and character of God, God's right to rule, the reason for God's Laws, the reason for punishment, the nature of sin, what sin is not, what the atonement is, what the atonement is not, what Christian perfection is, what perfection is not, etc. I think I'm going to really enjoy this book.
