I recently found out that I am going deaf in both of my ears. The doctor said that I have a small amount of loss in my left ear that is due to nerve problems. This means that I cannot do anything to fix it and it will get worse over time. I have mild to severe loss in my right ear due to otosclerosis. This can be fixed with surgery but the surgery is a last resort because it is not always successful. I know that God is the great healer and that he will heal me if that is his will, no matter what the doctors say. Please pray for me, that I will be healed, and/or that God's grace would be sufficient for me. God Bless!

I am like you. Over three weeks ago, in January 2006 I woke up to complete stone cold deafness in my right ear! I went to the specialist and went the usual route of prednisone with Valtrax to no avail. Audiologist confirmed serious extensive nerve damage to the right ear, total deafness. Next the Specialist ordered an MRI to rule out brain tumors or aneurysms, which came back negative. Now I am having extensive blood work and won't get the test results back until three weeks from now to rule out auto immune disease of the inner ear which that would mean complete deafness in both ears over time. I am distraught to say the least as if I go deaf I will lose my job and not be able to pay my bills. I am continuing to work at my job with great persecution with a handicap of just one ear and the other one troubling me. I look to the church for answers but no one lays hands on me to heal me. They only ask to pass the plate please. So it is all very discouraging. I do believe it is God's will to heal me and you as Jesus healed the sick and He is the same today and yesterday and forever more. The only problem I have is trying to deal with the pain and the hissing, roaring, high pitched whistling sound left to me in that ear? Do you suffer from the same high pitched hissing and whistling? When I told the doctor about it he was a total not a very nice person, totally un compassionate, told me to get over it and get on with it and become used to it. The sound is excruciating toture 24/7. He said it was the nerve damage and that my brain is communicating signals of what used to be hearing to my brain is this disjointed manner of high pitched whistling and hissing and roaring. All I can say is please God heal us both, you and I for I know the torture you are going through in Jesus Christ of Nazareth name! Cynthia Sheffield

I do know about the sounds (tinnitus) that you are talking about. I will be praying for your healing Cynthia.
Psalms 91:2 "I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."

I know that God calls salvation out to everyone, but not everyone gets saved, in addition God promises healing, but everyone doesn't get healed..........if there is no blatant sin in your life, believe God for the healing!!! Don't be double minded, but regardless, I will believe with you! Isaiah 53
