I just wanted to remind the Christians on these boards to stay in prayer for the unsaved who have recently joined our boards.
Pray that they get saved. Spend serious time in prayer for them.

Aw, you're so sweet Jesse...
Actually you're a little late. I already got "saved." When I was 17. Sorry you missed out on those treasures in Heaven you might have been hoping to store up for yourself after successfully converting me.
But of course I know you're going to reply that I did not experience "TRUE" salvation and that I must have had a false experience. Because naturally if I had REALLY had an experience and come to a true understanding of the Creator, my views would not be explainable with your simplistic logic. I understand that you have to maintain the little ordered world in your head. You go ahead and believe whatever helps you sleep at night. ^_^
Love, Morluna

Thank you very much! It warms my heart to know that such a large portion of your dogmatic, bright line thoughts are being sent in my general direction! Perhaps you'll be so busy with my myriad sins that you'll neglect to harass others who don't have the confidence that I do, and might be hurt by your tactless attempts at benevolence! ;D

What were you saved from and how? There's a reason I put "saved" in quotations. I don't believe I need to be saved from my own human nature. But I did have a very spiritual experience and afterward became much more active in the quest for an understanding of spirituality. It's the same kind of experience that Christians would refer to as "getting saved." I just chose to use Christian terminology to describe it because that's what Christians can understand. LOL VAL. LOL. xD Have I told you today that I love you?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that. Explain? What is your truth?

I don't know about you, but nothing helps me sleep better at night then knowing the truth. "Believe those who are seeking the truth; doubt those who find it." --Andre Gide So when did you come to the conclusion that you had discovered the truth? I have so many questions: OMG, this is so exciting! And to think, I was just in Portland on the 19th-21st of March, I could have met the One. The One who had discovered Truth. What to ask...what to ask? Ooooh, I can't stand it! So, first question: How does the God of the Jubilee year look at the capitalist system in general? Second question: What does the God that calls for us to love our enemies think of the Strategic Defense Initiative? Third question: What does God think of that awful looking "Security Barrier" which is obscuring the wonderful scenery of the "Holy Land"? Fourth question: Curses! The moderaters say I only get to ask three questions of the man with Truth. Oh well, I guess the rest of you will have to take up where I left off. Oh, and thanks for the prayers, I sincerely hope they make you feel better.

There is one way to heaven, one way to be saved from sin, one way to be set free from sin, one way to be saved, one truth, one life, and all of these things culminate in Jesus Christ who is the way the truth and the life. That is what we pray you one day see, hopefully before it is to late and your so called spirituality sends you to hell for eternity.
Despite your perverted view of truth, we do sincerly love each one of you and we will continue to try and help you understand.

If one is truly saved, then Christ is King of one's life. One will demonstrate the works of the Spirit, and not the works of the flesh. A person who loves Jesus with all of his/her heart, mind and soul will not mock Him, or those who love Him. In fact, one of the ways we show we are Christians is by our love for other Christians, and our enemies.
1 Peter 3:10 (King James Version) 10For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Galatians 5:19-24
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

These heathen on this board definitely need a LOT of prayer to get them saved. These are definitely some of the worst brand of heathen I've ever seen. Thank God though we have a big Savior that can save BIG sinners.

well, I was just as much of a "heathen" as these guys were, but I am forever grateful that the Lord is gracious. Not a single person will be going to hell who didn't otherwise deserve to be there (including myself who is very much deserving of hell) but many WILL be in heaven and not a SINGLE one will deserve to be there.
It only takes one sin to remove us from the presence of God. One bite of the apple, not the entire apple. Who can stand in the holiest of holies? The Cross is the point where a holy, just God and sinful ma collide with a crash and the way of life, the gateway to heaven, is opened up to all who believe. But the crash is not on the hearts of you and I, because our hearts are desperately wicked. The crash is on the heart of God.
Do we ever, as Christians, think about what it must have meant for the Father to send Christ into this world to save us? To be punished for us? I think we forget all too soon how far he has brought each of us. We forget how sinful we all once were. For the "sinners" here, forgive us for that, because as we have stepped into the holinest of holies now through the way of the Cross, looking back at sin (both in us and in others) becomes repulsive and unbearable. We see the danger you guys are in, the deception, and long to pull you across that threshold into grace, but we cannot. We can plead and debate and cry out for your souls, but ultimately it is not in our hands. So as far as working for "crowns" in return for your souls, that is not the motive here. We see the flames of hell dancing at your feet and want to snatch you from the fire. We've been where you stand now. And we fear for your souls.
So we do pray for God to open your minds to truth, and give you understanding. We pray for Him to give us the words to answer you, even when your "thanks" for our prayers are flippant and sarcastic comments. Saying we are praying for you is the greatest act of respect we can give you guys. And we do it out of love for you all, and because the love of Christ compels us. But we will not compromise the truth. Each of you will die one day, and you will stand before a holy and just God to give answer for your sins. You will either stand before him alone with your excuses and arguments you've given here, or you will come by the Cross. The only way of forgiveness and pardon is the way of the Cross. So that is what we preach.
