Recently Krista's Landlord told me he was taking a trip next week to central Mexico to visit an orphanage. He said, "do you want to go" but before I knew if he was serious or not, the conversation moved on to other things.
When he left, I prayed, "Lord if you want me to go, I pray that he comes back for some reason, this is my fleece sort of speak" when there was really no reason at all for him to come back. A few minutes later, he was knocking on the door with something he wanted to leave for the neighbor.
I brought up the question again, told him I was interested, and we prayed. I told him that I prayed if the Lord wanted me to go that he would come back for something.
So I leave Tuesday for central Mexico for a week. We are going to be visiting an orphanage. I hope spend time with these kids, showing and pouring on them the love of Christ.

Praise God bro! This sounds like an awesome opportunity. I'll be praying for sure. When in Ukraine we visited an orphanage that had a lot of Chernobyl (sp?) orphans. Wow. What an eye opener. Looking forward to a report.
God bless,
Miles

We leave bright and early tommorow morning. I am also praying for an opportunity for open air preaching. We'll see though.

Instead of praying for orphans and pouring God's love on them ... why don't you just ADOPT THE ORPHANS. If you visit the orphanage for a week, you will only give them pity and (empty) prayers ... actually adopt the kids and you would be answering prayers. Big difference, don't you think?

Quick update, I'm in Mexico. So far the trip has been great. We brought the orphanage toys, shoes, cloths, etc etc. We also went yesturday to a hospital and prayed for the sick. We ministered to the sick and the family members of the sick. One girl in particular really moved me. She was in the last stages of dying from cancer.
I think I may want to look into visiting hospitals in the US because it's a great need.
Also thinking about coming back to this city in the next few months. Lots of people just walk the streets. We could have some great street meetings here. Maybe when it gets colder in the states, all of us (Jeff, Miles, Josef, Eli, and myself) can take a trip into Mexico together as a team. We can get spanish tracts and make some spanish banners, maybe learn some spanish ourselves or at least hire a translator for open air preaching.
Well see.

That would be awesome. I took Spanish for three years. I am sure it would come back pretty quick. Does Jose speak spanish? Maybe he could translate. Lets do it!
Great to hear from you bro. Keep it up.
