I arrived just a few hours ago in Connecticut. On Monday I have a settlement meeting regarding my lawsuit against the city of New Haven. Pray that it be a blessed meeting.
I'm also going to take the liberty to preach in my hometown. Only once before did I do any open air preaching here in this town. But I've put thousands upon thousands of gospel tracts on cars. But this time I am going to march through the streets with my "TURN to JESUS and LIVE" banner.
Since I've been gone, they've built a skate park and a pool which I'm told is pretty popular. So I'll head to that park as well.
Many people in this town know me from when I used to fight and get arrested and was into the party drug scene. So I think my march around town will be a big testimony to those who know me. Please pray that it be blessed and that people will come to Jesus.

Amen.. That is one great thing about where I am OA preaching at. I see people that I use to party with while preaching. I've seen some look utterly shocked when they see me.

Ministry today went excellent. I marched from one end of the town to the other. I got many thumps up, a few honks, and only one middle finger.
One man pulled over and said, "Hey, are you going to mass at so and so". I said, "I'm not Catholic." Then asked, "Have you been born again." He said, "what is that?" I said, "It's something Jesus said. He said that unless a man is born again he will not see the Kingdom of God." He said, "You know, I never really knew what that meant." I said, "It's an experience with God." He said, "I've been baptized." I said, "It's not a ritual or a denomination. But it's an experience with God when he gives you a new heart and a new mind and you live a new life because you are a new person." I asked if he had a bible and then encouraged him to read it. He said, "I really appreciate what you are doing."
I also spoke one2one with two 13 year old kids who approached me. One was very nice though not entirely receptive. The other would not even tell me his name or shake my hand but was just profane. Pray for both of them.
Then an old friend who I used to party with drove by. He came back to talk. He says currently the only job he has is selling drugs. He also just moved out of the apartment with his girlfriend because they are fighting. And then another old friend called him, who is now a "dust-head" who keeps going in and out of mental hospitals. I'm taking both of them out to lunch on Wednesday and hope to have a good witnessing talk with them.
I think I'll march through the town every day this week. I've tried so many things to reach this town. But this banner I think will reach the most amount of people, at the least amount of time, with the least expense, but with great effectiveness.

Miles you should deffinately come down and visit for a few days. I am here until Monday the 14th. It would be really great to see you again. I can take you to the preaching spots where I first learned open air. We could do some great tag teaming again.

Alright I'm leaving now to go have my settlement meeting in court for the suit against the New Haven police. Please pray for favor and for the blessing of God.

Just wanted to write a quick update on the lawsuit. We are asking for: 1. A public declaration that the police mis-used the law when silencing my speech 2. A conjuction which states they cannot do it again. However, both parties could not come to agreement at the settlement meeting, so we will be taking this to court. This is Attorney Nate Kellum with The Alliance Defense Fund and myself at the Hartford CT courthouse, regarding the New Haven lawsuit.
