I was told today that my mother wants to have a family meeting today. She said that it's a concern meeting for me. Yesturday I was able to witness to my brother and our friend that we grew up with. Our friend was very open and very humble. However my brother really freaked out and got extremely hostile. I was calm and collected and gently spoke the truth and answered his questions. He really made the whole thing into a BIG situation. But I just gently answered his questions. When it got to the point where he said, "Am I going to hell". My mother said, "I can't judge, only God can judge." But I said, "yes Michael. As it is, you are going to hell if you don't change." Based on "He who believes not is condemned already". My mother afterwards said to me, "he just needs to hear that God loves him. Period." I said, "That's part of it. He needs to know God loved him by dying on the cross for him. But he also needs to know why he needs the cross to begin with." Now today, I'm called to a family "concern" meeting for me....... I can imagine that my marching through town with my banner will probably come up in this meeting as well. Pray that it goes well and that it will be another opportunity for me to witness to my brother.

I had the meeting. It was just between my dear Mother and I. What it came down to was that we disagreed on a bit of theology and also on how to witness. She basicly said I need to preach more of a Joel Olsteen type message.
I gave her some scriptures, explained how the bible says we should witness and how the bible describes the true condition of a sinner.
So that was it. I appreciate everyones prayers. I am also very grateful to God for allowing me this time back home to glorify Him.

Your writings seem a little different since you've just got back home....
Is it just me or is it a challenging time for you?
And how long are you back?

I flew in this past Saturday.
Which writings do you think have been a little different?
I will fly out this upcoming Monday.
My entire walk in Christianity has been a challenge. It's a picking up of the cross every day. But lately it seems I'm getting hit on all sides. It's a fight. And it's blessed. So it's a blessed fight. God be praised!

I was the only saved one in my family not more than 7 years ago. After very much spiritual combat....may wife, son and parents got saved. Not to mention several others that I have worked with over the years. Just keep up the good fight..don't comprise yourself to please other men. The dawn WILL break one day. I'll pray for you.

Luke 12
52 From now on families will be split apart, three in favor of me, and two against--or the other way around. 53 There will be a division between father and son, mother and daughter, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law."
This one comes to mind, and of course the 5th commandment. I'm going through the same type of situation with my family, who are Catholic.
