I am going to Dallas early tomorrow morning to do some preaching at a Luis Palau event. Palau once preached a message that contained the Law, Hell, etc., but changed a while back. The group I will be with has permission and free reign to preach inside the event that will most likely be filled with false converts and hypocrites. Pray for us if you will...

That's great. I will pray about it.
There is going to be one of those on July 14-15 in Omaha, my city. My church is going to send some people downtown and evangelize them. I will probably be going if I do not have to work that day.
This thing has made a big splash in Omaha. The posters are everywhere - I drove by one of the larger banks yesterday and saw them advertising the Luis Palau event on their big outdoor LCD screen. Most of the churches I've driven by have a Luis Palau banner on them (mine does not ;D). The festival will have all sorts of denominations involved, from "evangelical" non-denominational churches, Lutherans, liberal protestants, to Roman Catholics. There will be Catholic confession booths there, and apparently the rest of the Protestants don't have a problem with that. And of course, there will be "fun for the whole family" with rock concerts, extreme sports, that kind of thing.

Sean, It's right here: www.klty.com/celebratefreedom/index.htm Wynona Judd was at the festival here in Tampa. She claims to be a christian: Wynonna Judd Feels Heat From TVC Campaign October 21, 2004 – MSNBC is reporting that Wynonna Judd is receiving hundreds of emails from conservative Christians who are concerned about her plans to sing on a female homosexual cruise in late January, 2005. TVC is credited by MSNBC for urging Christians to ask Wynonna to cancel her planned concert. MSNBC gossip columnist Jeanette Walls reported on October 20: “Singer Wynonna Judd is being bombarded with emails from conservative Christians, urging her to cancel her engagement to perform aboard a cruise ship devoted to lesbian vacationers. If Judd doesn’t cancel, some are saying she might face a boycott.” Walls quotes TVC’s story on Wynonna: “The Traditional Values Coalition is calling Judd’s engagement ‘disgraceful,’ saying it ‘conflicts with her professed Christian faith’ and suggests that Judd has been ‘misled by the mainstream media on the origins of same-sex attractions and the self-destructive results of such attractions.” TVC has also learned that Wynonna’s back-up vocalist and music arranger Bob Bailey sang at an anniversary celebration at Cathedral of Hope in Dallas, Texas in late July, 2004. Bailey is a gospel singer and the Cathedral of Hope is one of the largest homosexual churches in the U.S. TVC’s webmaster received a response from Olivia, the cruise company that is hosting Wynonna’s event. Olivia representative Jill Cruse wrote to say: “You are being ridiculous in trying to organize this hateful, prejudiced approach to banning Wynnona from our cruise. We had a 47 year old Christian white male who is studying to be a minister call us last night out of his embarrassment for your organization, and apologizing for your organization misquoting the bible and spreading hatred and prejudice instead of love. Why do you do these things? Even my girlfriend in a devote Christian.” It is not our desire to “ban” Wynonna from a lesbian cruise, but to encourage her to search the Scriptures to discover what the Bible has to say about homosexuality—and then to cancel her concert. By catering to homosexuals, she is affirming a behavior that is clearly condemned in the Bible as sin. Exodus International, an ex-homosexual ministry, has resources for individuals struggling with same-sex attractions: Exodus International - Freedom from homosexuality through the power of Jesus Christ The National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality also has resources available: NARTH. Regeneration also has helpful resources for individuals struggling with homosexuality: Regeneration Books. www.traditionalvalues.org/modules.php?sid=1968

Rev. Did you go to Raleigh for the Greg Laurie outreach? No, I thought about it, but decided not to. Greg Laurie's message is not the best, but it is better then most. He at least talks about repentance and false converts. Of course he adds in the sinner's prayer and asking Jesus into your heart. Anyway...I didn't...
