My dad will be having part of his colon removed on Thursday. He has a pace maker, and lung problems, which could further complicate things. He lives up north and I will not be able to be with him in the hospital. Please pray for his surgery and his recovery.
Grace and Peace, Joe

Dad had a section of his colon removed and his gallbladder which had become attached to his colon. He is in ICU now and I hope to be able to speak with him tomorrow. We will find out whether or not it is cancerous in the next 24hrs or so. Please continue to pray for his healing and that the test will show that no cancer is present. Grace and Peace, Joe

Praying brother...is he a Christian? Yes, he is a Christian, which has provided us all with great comfort. A theologian he is not, but a selfless, honest and godly man he is. We have talked at great lengths over the past several years about sin, repentance, and faithfulness to Jesus Christ, and I am confident we will spend eternity together in the presence of God. Grace and Peace, Joe

Dear Lord, I pray that you cause Joes father to rejoice in you more and more even in this physical situation. Father use him to minister the gospel there in his hospital bed. Let the doctors and nurses see the peace that passes understanding in his life. Give he and Joe great times praying together and reading your word. Please bring him physical comfort and healing as well Lord. In Christ we pray amen

Dad called and said that the section of his colon that was removed contained no cancer. God has answered our prayers thus far and all is going well! He had been on a stomach pump up until today, but they have now removed the tubes from his nose and throat. Please continue to pray for his recovery as it will still be a long 8wks.
I thank God for each of you, Joe McCowan
