I have a growth in my upper abdomen that I will be getting checked out tomorrow Lord willing. It seems to have caused some internal bleeding and severe discomfort when I go to eat or even swallow liquids. So I ask that you will pray that the Lord will give the doctors wisdom in discovering what this is and how to deal with it.
Thank You In Christ Matt

You might have a hernia, they are quite common and treatable.

Well I had my check-up today and the doctor believed that I possibly have ulcers which would account for the internal bleeding. But he said that the symptoms I have don't entirely fit that for an ulcer. So if after a month there is no relief he advised me to see a specialist because I had a high white blood count and that it could be something a little more serious. So Lord willing it won't lead to that, but I honestly do not believe that it is ulcers considering I have very few symptoms that fit under such a diagnosis.
Thank You For Your Prayers. In Christ Matt

Still Praying Matt, I was praying for you today at work. You can have a high white blood count just from having an infection or even being under stress. I will keep praying for you.

It seems that the medication given to me for ulcers isn't doing the job so I think it best to seek medical attention. The doctor that prescribed this drug said that I should notice a difference in days but there has not yet been any relief of the symptoms so I have decided to go back to my home province of Nova Scotia and see my doctor there. Due to me not being from the province of New Brunswick it seems hard to get medical attention here because I am not under New Brunswich health care nor have I been able to get a doctor in this area. So in conclusion since the symptoms I have seem to be worsening I believe it to be wise to see my doctor in order that whatever it is I have can be treated appropriatly.
I'm a wimp when it comes to things like this.
Thank You For Your Prayers. In Christ Matt

I was thinking it could be an ulcer when you mentioned it because about a month ago a friend of mine at work had an older son who had an ulcer that was left untreated and it put a hole in his stomach and he was coughing up blood. We prayed together for him and the doctors sewed up the hole and he was fine.
I guess they probably already told you to stay away from anything acidic like coffee. I will keep you in prayer.
It might be a good idea to go on a fast and just drink water to give your stomach a rest.
I forgot to mention anything real hot or real cold can irritate your stomach too.

That is a possibility because I am a fisherman and I'm hunched over a lot which causes acid reflux and it wouldn't surprise me that this is the result. In Christ Matt

Praise be to God for answering prayer, the pain is completely gone. It left completely about 2 days or so ago, the doctor I had gone to see in N.S said that it is most likely a bleeding ulcer and gave me another prescription and recommended that once the prescription ran out that I stay on Ranitidine hydrochloride (Zantac).
But if I still after another month feel discomfort they will do a series of tests and possibly send me to a specialist. I still have a strange sensation but the pain is gone and I am told this is in fact normal with bleeding ulcers. So Lord willing I have been given the proper diagnosis and all will be smooth sailing.
Thank You All For Your Prayers!!! In Christ Matt
