I got a phone call today from N.B.C inviting Brother Micah and myself unto the Jerry Springer Show. They said that they have a "Reverend" on the show that they want us to confront. He is a reverend who marries anyone for $100 including homosexuals and sodomites.
This sounds like an opportunity to reach millions through the media. Please keep this in your prayers.

I would be very prayerful about this. If all they want you to do is start a fight or confrontation, I wouldn't have anything to do with it.

As long as you maintain control over what you say and how you present yourself it would in fact be an awesome opportunity to present the Gospel.
I'll be praying that God will reveal to you His will in this matter.

I understand that the nature of the show is controversy and "shock & awe". They want "good media" which to them is "weird media". But I think this could be used for the gospel, this is almost as good as an opportunity to preach at the very gates of hell.

I checked out his myspace and if he really thinks he is a reverend he truly is a nut-case or else handicapped. It has to be one of the two that is for sure.

It could also open up other doors for other shows.

It could also open up other doors for other shows. It is a great opportunity I will give you that. I checked youtube and I guess he is a regular on Jerry Springer. And I would say that it is safe to say that he is not really a reverend more like a wicked comedian maybe but he is not a reverend. But you are right it is a Golden opportunity to preach the Gospel to 1000's of viewers. But at the same time they will do their best to make you either look like a fool or a fanatic one of the two.

If you GO..then GO by the Leading of the Holy Spirit ... and by the POWER of God... Declare BOLDLY The PURE Gospel of Truth in JESUS our LORD expose the darkness and SHINE The Light of the Glory of God. They have no FEAR of the Lord, they are proud mockers, seeking to make another man of GOD seem like the fool as they continue their blatent sin and mockery of the word of God ever hating of the truth of righteousness. They like the false gospel this actor brings who poses as a minster of the gospel using the Name of the Lord in vain because they love their sins.
Lord, Grant Repentance and the FEAR of the LORD! REPENT or PERISH! T2L

Yes I said it. The bible is clear that women are to be keepers of the home (Titus 2:4-5).
Do you agree with this?

Jesse,
I pray you are not considering this. I don't make it a habit to condemn anyone's ministry, but I just spent a few hours watching Micah's videos and can't believe that you would support his preaching. I feel dirty for even watching them.
Grace and Peace, Joe

I love brother shnor. His witty scriptural use is So classic.
I would love to see shnor be taken on.
This sort of reminds me of the Highlander show where the guy begins to strike and the other Guy say you already lost.
In the end,
There CAN BE ONLY ONE....

Brothers our Bible study lifted you both up in prayer tonight. We prayed that God's will be done in this situation.
It's not just the people in the church buildings and the people on the college campuses and the everyday people that we meet daily that nee dth Gospel, but it also has to be brought to those that are living very dangerously on the edge of that cliff that is inches away from a never ending pit of destruction.
We prayed that many would be saved if you are guided there, and in fact that Jerry Springer himself would be moved by a power so great that he would be saved and do an end with that show all together.
I mean if were gonna pray lets pray for something big right?? To God be the Glory in whatever He has you do..
I am continuing in prayer. This is a big deal, and I pray that you don't get caught up in the side show... not by your doing but by their predetermined agenda.
Lord Bless you both.

The guy who called us said that he wanted us to confront Reverend Snorr, since the whole Springer show is about people confronting people. But his producer said that the show is about people who already know each other confronting each other.
So they asked if we had any friends or family that didn't like what we were doing. I said that I did have family who didn't like my ministry, but I don't want them on the Springer show!! And I do have Christians who don't like what I'm doing, but Christian's aren't suppose to argue these things in front of the world!! I don't want to try to find someone so we can go on the show, that's just silly. So it looks like the show isn't going to work out.

Jesse, I wanted to tell you this when we talked today, but I hope the Springer appearance doesn't work out for you. As a video editor who has worked in TV and Film, I know just how these shows are edited to favor the ideals of the show Producers. Even if you laid out the most complete and convicting message of repentance and salvation, they still hold the power to cut out anything they don't like, and in the edit, make you appear to say things that you did not. I wouldn't worry about missing this opportunity. There are definitely better avenues through which to share the Gospel.

Joem, I agree with Kerrigan that it is very hard to judge someone's preaching simply by going by the clips that heathen will put up. Those types of clips are usually short and always of very heated or very controversial times. Here are some videos that I took of Micah when I was preaching with him last year in Ohio: www.youtube.com/results?search_query=brother+micah+open+air+outreach&search_type=There's about 6 videos, each ten minutes long, and can help others get a feel for what Micahs preaching is like.

Honestly, it has nothing to do with heathen's posting clips out of context. Any professing Christian claiming to represent Jesus Christ, who stands up and talks about sex toys, is someone who I would not align myself with. The things coming out of Micah's mouth don't need to be taken out of context in order to sound blasphemous. Do you honestly think that Jesus would use the type of rhetoric that he uses? Do you think that this filthy language exalts God? It is no less detracting from the character of God than Benny Hinn, Joel Olsteen, or countless others. If the world tries to make you look like the devil, they should at least have to work at it or lie about your preaching. I don't care if someone video tapes you 24/7, they should not find this type of filthy communication coming from the mouth that claims to speak the word of God. There is no excuse for such behavior. I have personally refused to minister with folks who's preaching is far more biblical than Micah's, whether all these clips are exceptions or not. Notoriety is not the measure of a godly preacher. Grace and Peace, Joe

I seem to remember an event in the scriptures where a man was preaching the message of jesus. The apostle went to christ and said Shall we prevent him. And jesus said not to.
Whether micah goes on or not, is really left up to him. Jesus wouldn't prevent it. But I agree with joeldad they will cut your holy stuff and present you as an idiot zealot. Not to mention YOU WILL BE ON A SHOW, where girls strip for beads, people will say degrating things to you and even tell you to go to the oprah show.
Of course, if your into that I would have to present to the world that micah is not a christian by the same defination as brother jedd or bible jim.
A CHRISTIAN MUST BE OF GOOD REPORT, NOT GIVEN TO PERVERSION OR DISGRACE, MUST BE SEEKING PERFECTION AND KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST AND ACCEPT SALVATION, AND OF COURSE REJECT THE BASE NATURE OF THIS WORLD.

Sex toys? When did I ever talk about that? Honestly, there is not chance of me watching all of those videos again to find it for you. I have been told that you have since mended your ways. The video posted on another thread on this board is explicit enough to illustrate my point and appears to be recent. youtube.com/watch?v=-K4PuCoIHEgGoing into detail about explicit sexual acts, complete with hand motions to illustrate is not biblical. It sounds like you are reading from a trashy romance novel, and somehow that is supposed to honor God? Again, I just don't get it. At a time when I have been working to raise support for open air preachers, the antics on your videos have cost the support we have worked very hard to gain. I was hoping to start a fund to provide for Jesse, Kerrigan, Miles and others who are providing a godly service. At this point, I have become guilty by association and have lost some hard earned respect for open-air ministry that has taken 10yrs to gain. Grace and Peace, Joe

There has to be a line or a standard when it comes to preaching. I've seen others preach and be graphic and obscene, and I think, "why would they do that? That's not necessary." But at the same time others might say that some of my preaching is a little too explicit. I'll talk about masturbation and sodomy. But I don't think that we should be extremely explicit or graphic. We should name sin, maybe even describe sin in certain instances, but we shouldn't be obscene.

A true Christian will give out of pure love for Jesus Christ and His Ministry, and are led by the Holy Spirit and not flesh. This just reveals how many false converts are out there. Please do not ask money from false converts. That is not led by the Spirit of Christ.

If I could just say a quick word, I've seen Micah preach a few times (we've run into each other here and there) and have always enjoyed what I saw in person. My internet is slow and doesn't allow me to watch all the online videos. But I know from my personal friendship with Micah that he preaches lots of scripture, so much scripture that he puts me to shame and makes my preaching look bad. I also know that he has a very deep prayer life, so much so that he puts me to shame. And I know that his wife is very godly also, who can't even utter a prayer for the lost without breaking out in tears and weeping. Because I know Micah and his wife, and I know their heart, and I've seen their preaching, I cannot condemn them. It's possible that he may be too graphic in his preaching at times. This would be a mistake on his part. So while I may disagree with some of his preaching, I cannot condemn the man.

Please do not ask money from false converts. That is not led by the Spirit of Christ. That is ridiculous. I always check the credentials of those I support financially. When asked to support this ministry, people came to this website. Videos were watched and the question was raised about whether or not OAO supported this type of preaching. I didn't say anything about it, I just urged others to reveal their stance. As it turns out, we feel free to condemn a long list of things on this board, just not some things. Not supporting something that is deemed ungodly does not equal false conversion, but good stewardship. Whats done is done. It is just disappointing. God bless Micah and everyone else here. I don't have anything else to say about it. Grace and Peace, Joe
