Matt 5:19 "Whoever therefore shall break one of the least of these commandments, and so teach others, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." It seems Jesus is saying that those who break the commandments and teach others to break them will enter the kingdom of heaven. This sounds contradictory to other scriptures. Can anyone expound on this?

It doesn't say that they will inherit the Kingdom, it says that they will be called least in (or by) the Kingdom.
Those in the Kingdom will refer to these people as the least of all people. They will not inherit the Kingdom, but will be referred to by the Kingdom as the least of all people.
That's my take on it.
(Does anyone else see how this scripture can apply to those who say a Christian sins every day and cannot stop sinning every day? Doesn't this scripture say that we are to teach people that they need to stop sinning?)

Thanks Jesse. I agree. I don't think Jesus is giving the people a license to sin here. That would be contradictory to everything else he says.
I appreciate your response. It definately helps me wrap my brain around this.

Greetings.. and Good Morning,, this passage of Holy Scripture , describes the judgement of the believers..A degree of Faithfulness to in this respect will determine our degree of glory in Heaven.. What is that Faithfulness it is our attitude towards God's law and by our teaching and practice of it.. Look at 2 Cor 5:10, we will all have to give account someday at " the judgement seat of Christ", for our deeds done in the body, whether good or bad... Christians will be subject to judgement, there is no exceptions.. Holy Scripture References: Romans 14:12 1Cor 3:12-15 2Cor 5:10 Eccl 12:14 It will happen when Christ Jesus will return for is church... John14:3 1 Thes 4:14-17 The judge will be Jesus... John 5:22 2Tim 4:8
Could this include the great possibility of damage or even loss..even that at this time God will not condemn...
Just passing through...hope this helped you... Blessed Regards
