I have been scanning through some of the threads and I have seen many people who I thought were Godly, insinuating that other people who I know are Godly, are in fact not saved. It stems from what some poeple view love as being. Let me share what Finney says.... Before you read let me clear this up...WHAT? FINNEY IS HERETICK, there now no one else has to say it The spirit behind anyones preaching cannot be discerned by what they preach, that is carnal and fleshly and therefore wicked. Jesus no doubt loved the pharisees which is something we tend to forget. If we love people we will tell them what will send them to hell and how to escape God's wrath. Under the hypothesis of our good brothers who say certain other people are not preaching out of love, God doesnt preach out of love (which is utterly false). God loved us enough to inspire the harshness of the old testemant prophets. What do you think?

it reminds me of what one godly brother on this thread posted during the whole GNN/OAO letter situation. He basically said he would not touch the Lord's anointed. I feel the same way. I don't know much, but I'd rather err on the side of NOT angering the Lord by calling one of his sheep a goat.

FINNEY IS HERETICK, there now no one else has to say it Well, I'm not sure who this Finney person is, but I must say that he might not be upset by being called a heretic. After all, a heretic is only "a person who holds controversial opinions, especially one who publicly dissents from the officially accepted dogma of the Roman Catholic Church." There is nothing wrong with holding onorthodix opinons, and I imagine that most of you, who call it the "virgin-mary-cult," also dissent from the officially accepted dogma of Roman Catholocism.

I humbly point you to the thread "The Roman Catholic Chrurch is NOT CHRISTIAN" and I agree with that statement, it is wicked and vile andorigintated in the pit of hell!

How and why is Finney a heritic? I have read his sermons and they are great. He leaves no excuse for sin or compromise. What charge do you bring against this man of God. Seriously of all people he would be the last person I would think to be a heritic. If your going to call someone a heritic, you must be able to prove it.

No, NO, I hold Finney with great reverence. I just didnt want others to start it back up so I entered in with a bit of sarcasm about that in order to detour others from starting it up again. I do not in any way think Finney is a heretic.
Yes I admit, The Roman Catholics would most likely burn me at the stake. That is okay, I will preach against the great harlot with all of the unction in me if the time calls for it.

Fair enough. That's fine then. The problem with forums is you can't always tell how someone is saying something, sarcasim can be hard to pick. ;D
