AHHH!! This podcast makes me want to scream. I honestly can't tell if this is a joke or if this guy is serious. If you have time, have a listen. www.podcast.net/play/45768/14Even if this is not a joke, I think this is what "modern Christianity" thinks about Bullhorn Guys.

Josh,
I could feel my blood pressure rising so I stopped listening to this trash.
I was thinking about what that youth 'pastor' said to our black brother who was bull horn preaching at the busy intersection.
The line that Jesus only condemned the religious Pharisees with words like brood of vipers, ye hypocrites etc.
Two Thoughts:
1. The Pharisees were 'religious'. I would suggest that the majority of the Western world is also religious whether they be following the religion of sport, self esteem, hedonism, money, careers, own brand of spirituality, Catholics, JW's, Mormons, Muslims, New Age, Atheists etc.
2. The Pharisees were self righteous. I cannot think of one person who I have ever witnessed to who did not think they were a 'GOOD PERSON' (maybe an occasional exception).
Therefore, I believe it is perfectly biblical for us to see the vast majority of todays unsaved as latter day Pharisees.

You can watch a small clip of the video at the Nooma website. I have seen the whole thing though and it made me want to puke. It is the "emergent church" in a nutshell. It is all about me, me, me. You'll hear that a lot in this video...

If you have time, have a listen. www.podcast.net/play/45768/14Even if this is not a joke, I think this is what "modern Christianity" thinks about Bullhorn Guys. Okay, Okay, I admit it....it was ME with the bullhorn and the tracts. Those guys heckled me for half an hour, trying to shut me up! But on a more serious note (It was NOT me, j/k), it will only be a matter of time, and I say it already has, before this poison paralyzes the mainstream evangelical churches, and things like homosexuality, abortion, rebellious lifestyle and friendship with the world is accepted and permitted all in the name of "love," even much more so than it already is. Now, how much more important is it to rally the troops and lift up our voices, to cry aloud and spare not, to declare the sin of the US and the iniquity of our nation to a backward generation of God lovers/haters! To the gospel hardened youth of this wicked generation! Here is a good question.....How long ago was the bible and prayer removed from the public school systems of America? Here we are, just 2/3rd's of a generation away from that, and what a stinking mess! We are in the deception phase of the last days. Please stay in your bibles, and stay on your face before the Lord Jesus. They may start recalling bibles any day now. Preachers, don't you dare compromise the Word of the Lord. Preach it with sincerity and conviction, but also preach it like it might be your last time preaching it!

Amen Brother.
We need more preaching against sin and worldliness not only to the unsaved but also to the "me, me, me Christians".

One girl on a campus forced the team to watch the video, she brought out her laptop with the DVD to the meeting. I was like, "Do you always happen to have this DVD on you just in case?" The video was awful. I hate to use the phrase but the NOOMA truly was "anti-biblical" as Andrew Strom says. One line Rob Bell says something like, "People don't need someone to preach to them... just someone to listen." Funny, my Bible says that faith comes by hearing and to go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel. Do some people just need someone that will listen to them? Sure. But preacher, you go and preach it!

Just finished watching the video. This guy needs to get saved himself! He obviously doesn't read his bible and wouldn't have a clue why Jesus came to earth.
We get enough discouragement from the world about OA preaching... Now we have to put up with so called 'christians' who don't even have a clue.
That's why I am thankful for this MB... Even though we are not all in agreement on certain doctrinal issues we can still encourage each other's efforts as we preach SIN, GOD'S ANGER, JUDGMENT, RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLINESS.

Revelation 3
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

I'm watching the video.
He would probably get invited into alot of churches.
Hey seriously: all you "bullhorn guys" and open air preachers I DO think you need to change your approach and tactics somewhat.
You need to ALSO start going INTO the churches and preach your messages of repentance - they NEED to hear it.
Go some Sunday morning and walk into to one of those dead comfy churches with your bull horn and some helpers to pass out tracks and do some one-on-one witnessing.
You would probably be ALOT less welcome in the "churches" than at colleges.
But you never know, it your were to go out into the churches, you might get some pastors saved.
Shortly after getting saved, I heard the testimony of an Asc. Pastor at a Church in S.C.
He said he had been a Methodist Pastor for years, then he came to KNOW Jesus. His congregation wouldn't accept him and they kicked him out.
So EXPAND your open air outreaches to the religious settings AS WELL as the secular.

Rob Bell, I tell you lovingly, repent or you too will burn in hell. You are right, we are trying to convert people to our religion, you wouldnt understand because you are not of OUR religion. We are Christian, you are pagan.
