Here is the complete "Checks to Antinomianism" by John Fletcher online for free. truthinheart.com/EarlyOberlinCD/CD/Fletcher/jfindex.htmIn this Methodist classic, Fletcher exposes the terrible errors of antinomian theology, destroys the false doctrine of once saved always saved, and kindly corrects the mistakes of Calvinism. This book is a combination of letters that John Fletcher wrote to other ministers of his day, who were publicly attacking the aged John Wesley and calling him a heretic. These letters are full of sound theology, wisdom, wit, satire, and lots of scriptures. They are a pleasure to read.

Your welcome. This book is great!
Fletcher will have you praising God at some times, and crying with tears of laughter at others!
He was a phenominal writer, very skillful in communication!

It is an amazing letter! I hope that others begin to read it. It is, as you say, and I hope that those of the "other position" read it! I would be interested to hear their comments!
I am not aware of the "ranter" position, nor of the "articles", yet, of which he speaks. I do recommend it, however! Fletcher is an interesting man! I love the way he thinks! Thanks for sharing it brother!

I have completed the first check to antinomianism and was very impressed. So much so, that I copied it for my nephew, a "reformed" seeker to read too!
Thanks again Jesse for sharing it! I am hard after the second check to antinomianism presently!
peace, dmatic

I am on the 5th Check of the 1st Volume. And all I have to say is that Fletcher is an anointed genius. He's brilliantly funny, and I wish that he, or one like him, were alive today to defend Christianity against the errors of Antinomianism and Calvinism. His writings, which are very powerfully, desperately need to revive in our dark generation!

I agree with you Jesse! Maybe you're that guy! I would have loved to sit down with Fletcher and shared some tea, and conversation. Indeed, he was anointed! Thanks for sharing him...I would not have known of him if not for your encouragement to read his stuff! again, thanks brother.... Peace, dmatic

Looks like excellent reading and instruction. Will have to pick a rainy day to really get into it. There's a lot there. Thank you, never heard of this. Then maybe I'll know what everyone is talking about, and better insights.

I do not agree with you on a lot of things Jesse, but Calvinism is an absurdity. We stand in unision here.

Actually since Calvinism is biblical, you can't prove it wrong. Calvinism is CLEAR in the Bible, and the ONLY reason people don't accept it, is because they have wrong presuppositions about God.
