I have mentioned David Bercot before in regards to his dictionary, A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs, and in regards to his book, Will the Real Heretics Please Stand Up? Lately I have been listening to a lot of David Bercot's teaching on basic doctrine from the Early Church (up to the 400's). It is really good, really Biblical and really refreshing. Man, it also shows me how far we (the Church as a whole) has gone astray since the Apostles. Check out some of his teaching CD's when you get a chance: www.scrollpublishing.com/store/teaching-cds.html These are the ones that I have listened to so far and wholeheartedly agree with: - The Atonement Set - Christ's Descent Into Hades - Imputed Righteousness - Millenium and Rapture - Trinity And I have just ordered these: - Tithing and Fasting - Life After Death - Eternal Security - Separation from the World I am looking forward to listening to these ones as well. He backs up everything he says with plenty of Scripture and quote from the Early Church Fathers. Also, he shows how and where doctrine went astray. I also ordered the biography of St. Patrick. I put this in the "Doctrine and Theology" section because this is what it is about. God Bless...

There is also a great book I am reading at the moment by him called "The Kingdom That Turned The World Upside Down". I think it is real good to read after reading "Will the Real Heretics Please Stand Up". It is very challenging and is sure to step on some toes.
Blessings,
Miles

I just seen this thread...
I read both of those books some time ago. He has some good stuff, but there are a few things I think he is off on. He teaches a type of soul-sleep doesn't he?

I was just listening to what his CD about life after death. He DEFINITELY DOES NOT teach soul sleep. Maybe you are confusing him with his past. He was raised a JW and was one for quite some time. JW's believe in soul sleep...
