Friday-
This seemed to be somewhat of a slow night. There was a brother from Morrow, that came out. It was good to see him out. One man came out with a ticket to hell. It was a piece of cardboard that he cut the letters out- HELL. There seemed to be more fellowship among the saints than preaching to the sinners. Although we did preach. There were 6 people from 3 different churches out. Praise God! I'm glad to see people wanting to do something.
Saturday-
There were a lot of people out this night. I talked to one man that I have talked to before for a long time. He asked me if I was going to be out for awhile longer, and of course I was. About 30 minutes later he came out with about 6 friends and a large cardboard sign to mock us. I didn't really mind- he ended up gathering a crowd for us around 20 people. We preached for quite awhile to them, until most of them left.
We then went to sit down for awhile. While Clint and I were sitting there talking, the man who threw coke on me a few weeks ago showed up. He was not drunk when he threw the coke at me nor was he this night. He asked us if his sister was in hell. Of course we didn't know who she was, but he told us that she drinked. We asked if she was a drunkard and he eventually said yes. We calmly told him what the Bible says about drunkards. We told him that if a person dies as a drunkard they do not go to heaven. I rebuked him and told him the only reason he was asking us these questions is because he was looking for a reason to get mad at us. He knew we would tell him what the bible says about drunkards- our sign was 1 cor 6:9-10! He jerked his hand back like he was going to hit me not long after that. So I just stopped talking to him. He then asked us to show him in the Bible where it said that. Clint put his head down and started to open his Bible- then he swung at him! What a coward! He waited until Clint put his head down. Clint did see him at the last moment and dodged the punch. I was still sitting down and the guy was standing right in front of me. I thought I was going to hit me, so I just ducked my head and started walking off. He then took our sign and asked me to come get it. I took one step towards him to see if he would give it to me, but he started walking backwards. I guess he wanted me to get closer. We then left to get away from him. About 10 minutes later he came down the street- with 2 policeman behind him. The policeman made him give us our sign back and apologize. The cops didn't see him swing at us, they only seen him with our sign and knew took it. Praise God no one got hurt!
