Friday-
There are a lot more people out on the streets now that school is back in session and there are football games going on. There were 5 fellowships represented out this night. I hope there was much good done for the kingdom this night. I know there was a lot of talk (I would pray fellowship) among them all. I am getting weary of going out on the street an just talking to other believers where we are all suppose to be out preaching. It seems for while I was doing it a lot but lately have been straying away from it. So, if you are one of the brothers that is also coming out, I'm not ignoring you or have aught against you, I just have it set on my heart to preach and witness when I go out there.
I had several people at one time around me listening. One guy had a conversation with me that went ok. I didn't feel like I was really getting through to him. He was one that studied many religions. He asked me how I got started doing this so I told him. He then asked me if I drank soda. I said sure, I do, but I would rather not drink it out of a cup that comes from the bar if it has a beer logo on it. He went inside to get one. They would not let him take it outside, because of their rules. He then asked me to come in, but he knew that I wouldn't. He apologized that he couldn't get it for me. But them a few minutes later he found out that you could buy cans so, he brought one out to me. It's odd how people will do this from time to time. It reminds me of this scripture.
Mar 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Although I don't think the man was doing it "in his name," but regardless it's a blessing to see people not absolutely hate you.
Our mockers came out again with their marker board and spent several hours around us. I found out that the "leader" of the group that his father is a Pentecostal preacher. That must play a point in his animosity towards the Gospel. That has nothing to do with Pentecostals, so I hope no one takes it that way. I pray that these guys would get converted and get some "real" signs and put their mock signs away.
It’s interesting how some people will curse them out and argue with them because their signs are always anti-God and anti-hell.
