This was a crazy day of preaching. It rained for some time in the second day but we drew a crowd anyhow. Here are a few pictures. There are more on the Open Air Outreach gallery. This man jumped up next to me (Evan) as I was preaching. He is the religion professor at VCU. I thoroughly refuted his claiom that homosexuality is not a sin. There is a video as well that should be up soon. Miles drew a crowd despite the rain. Eli held the crowd nicely on day one. We were told we could not preach on the campus the first day so we went right outside on the sidewalk. Day two we obtained a permit and preached on campus. Praise God for His goodness.

The meetings started out very civil both days, although Evan did have a demon possessed guy shouting and growling and grunting in his face as he started the meeting on day one. Lots of Christians really stood in support of us on this campus. (Not all of course) When the religious professor came out the first day there was at least one former student of his that was opposing him and standing against his lies. There was a campus minister (student) that stood with us on day two and told us that he had recieved 15 emails that day to join the campus ministry group because of the meetings. Praise the Lord for some fruit showing forth from the labors. The meeting on day two went into the night and we didn't leave until after 8:00 pm. We had started around 12:15. The Lord really blessed the meetings. More pictures at www.openairoutreach.com/galleryMiles

Here was my email response:I know these men very well and fully trust them to preach the gospel. Often when we preach on campuses, there will be "Christians" who say that they accepted Christ as the Lord and Savior, but then admit to sins like porn, masterbation, premartial sex, lying, stealing, blasphemy, cursing, etc etc. Jesus said you will know a tree by it's fruit. So if they encountered someone on campus that said they were a Christian, they would have examined them by their fruit. Jesus said, "Not everyone who says unto me Lord Lord shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven." Paul said, "It's not the hearers of the Lord, but the doers of the Lord, that shall be justified." So a person cannot have Christ as Savior without having Him as Lord. The grace and mercy of God was shown to us at the cross. His blood is how we can be saved. But the blood only covers that sins that we repent from. And unless a person repents, they will perish. I have full and total confidence in these men who are out there on the battlefield, earnestly contending for the faith. The preachers who will stand up for holiness, and stand against sin, are few and far between. But they are the desperate need for today, becauses America in general is full of sin and is angering and offending God. I fear that many on your campus, even professing Christians, might be angering and offending God by naming the name of Christ, but not departing from iniquity. If we are to call ourselves Christians, we must be Christ like. And Christ always said no to sin and yes to God. If we call ourselves Christians, but then continue in sin for all the world to see, we make Christians and we make Christ look bad. And that is an embarressment to Heaven. - Jesse Morrell www.OpenAirOutreach.com

The questions that the students are often times asking are the ones that they always wanted to ask in church but A. they were not allowed to ask, and B. theyweren't hearing the truth so they became frustrated and went astray, and C. there wasn't anyone living the truth so nobody could speak from experiance. The truth sets us free as Christians!
Some seem to be humble enough to stick around, praise God for that. Preach the Word. When you guys read out of the Holy Bible it appears that people stop talking and they listen. When the urgency to repent is preached, people listen.
Keep preaching!!!!!

Haha, thanks Jesse. This campus was a real blessing to preach on... it was wild, but the gospel was clearly declared.

I agree, Shawn, often it appears that these are genuine questions by people who really want to hear the answers. Of course, many simply want to 'stump the chump' as I've heard Miles say. We have some of those right here on the mb.
Hey Miles, where did you get the burgundy jacket??

Hey OAO brothers,
I just picked up an easel and a dry erase board today. We are going to start hitting the campuses more often. Keep up the great work. Stay humble and bold.
