The following was in a Sydney newspaper yesterday:
PARENTS, family groups and the Federal Government are demanding a Sydney daycare centre immediately stop teaching babies and toddlers about gay, lesbian and "transgender" parenting.
As Marrickville Mayor Sam Byrne refused to discuss the curriculum -- which he says aims to challenge children's perceptions of sexual identity -- it was unclear if parents at the council-run centre had been told what their kids were being taught.
One mother, whose three-year-old daughter is due to start at Tempe's Tillman Park Childcare Centre, said she did not want her daughter exposed to such adult concepts at such a tender age.
"At that age, the under-fives, they don't even need to know about sex," mother-of-four Bobbie Davies said.
As ratepayers expressed anger, Family and Community Services Minister Mal Brough branded the curriculum "ridiculous". "At that age children should be fingerpainting and having fun, not learning about social behaviour which many parents regard as way beyond their years," he said.

i agree, IFF (if and only if) christians would agree that children should not be taught religion until they are old enough to make their own choice--wisely.

Thats the whole thing! They are not being taught bible. They take the bible out of the schools and replace it with homosexual teaching!
Another sign that Jesus Christ is returning soon.
Repent and put your trust in Jesus Christ!

...that wasn't the point. i said, if you can agree to keeping the religion out of schools, i am sure the secular community will gladly take out the homosexuality teaching.

I doubt it very much. Since true religion is not being taught in schools how homosexual teaching is.

religion SHOULDNT be taught in schools....oi, neither should....oh, and let me inform you, children are not being taught homosexuality, its an extension of sex education which helps children determine one's sexual identity.

I saw this article as well, and my blood boiled!
God made them, man and woman. Not Adam, and Steve, or Eve or Eva. But one man for one woman, none of this perversion.
Its time this nation got back to the bible, and start to teach kids the truth of scripture again.

i agree, IFF (if and only if) christians would agree that children should not be taught religion until they are old enough to make their own choice--wisely. Even atheists agree that religion helps improve the morals of a child, so why shouldn't religion be taught? In my state it is perfectly legal to teach Christianity in schools, and I think we should make the most of the chance we have. Now hstn, show me grounds why religion should not be taught, and how it doesn't raise the moral standing of a child.

[comparative] religion can be taught, but christians would be in another uproar if they learned their children were learning other sacred texts alongside their superior, universal truth.
you are right. morals in, and of, all religions have produced a positive affect on society, but there is negative consequences as well. religion can be used for evil, and is on a regular basis. religion is also becoming an excuse to hate, i.e. kkk, taliban, etc, etc.
secularists want to see the scales weigh even for citizens of this great, free country.
we will gladly have christianity taught, as long as the other world religions can be taught beside it. we will gladly teach creationism, if you will all shut your mouths on the topic of evolution. we will gladly offer christian methods to rebuke sins of the flesh, if we are given the opportunity to teach sexual education, and the lifestyles of gay, transgendered and bi-.
most christians are blindsided by their own arragonce and pride. i have no problem with christianity. heck, i study it on a regular basis. i find it fascinating. however, not everyone is like me, nor is every person on earth a christian. christians need to learn to accept that people will live as they see fit. people need to make their own choices, otherwise they will never know freedom.
you teach freedom in christ, but honestly....
...i do not see anything free in having it shoved down my throat, and forced upon me at school and in public by street preachers.
christians need to learn humility. let your silent, humble ACTIONS speak for themselves
let me copy/paste the theme of this reply:
let your silent, humble ACTIONS speak for themselves let your silent, humble ACTIONS speak for themselves let your silent, humble ACTIONS speak for themselves let your silent, humble ACTIONS speak for themselves let your silent, humble ACTIONS speak for themselves
religion has done a lot of good things for humanity, and bad things.
p.s. if man is fallen, then how can you trust any man, including your fellow christians who teach you everything you know?
