I sent some info to a friend of mine today about the Gay Lobby. She wrote back asking me not to send her bad news anymore. She just wants to stay in the word and do what she is doing in her immediate circle. On the other hand there are two old sisters 85 and one in her 60s whose ministry is to lobby against UnGodly laws. Look at Daniel and Joseph and also the Apostles with how they were in high places. What do you think Christians should do. Totally ignore whats going on and do nothing because its going to get worse anyway. Or stand for Gods truths against all that is UnGodly. Shoule we be activists against abortions for instance and etc? What does the bible say to do. Do we bury our heads and dwell on all that is lovely and beautifula nd upbuilding or? ?

I think there should be some balance. I think many Christians rely too much on government to legislate morality instead of them becoming the salt and light.
At the same time I think we should do what we can. If we are to pray for those in authority then we should vote, lobby, etc.
I think it is important not to lose sight of our true mission in the midst of this though and that is changing men's hearts.

Yes it is important for us christians to voice the truth in all circumstances. This is a great website to go to and have e-mails forwarded to you so you can petition and support an organization that fights against wicked laws. www.ACLJ.org this is what YHWH wants us to do is to pray to him (never compromise the sanctity he's given us) submit totally to his Will, read the Holy Bible, fellowship and spread the word everywhere!

I pretty much agree with Messengermicah. We shouldn't bury our heads in the sand, we should do what we can (micah mentioned voting, lobbying, even picketing) All should be done in a Biblical manner. Blowing up abortion clinics and murdering abortion doctors is not handling things in a Biblical manner. I cringe when I hears news of that nature, b/c these people cause the name of the Lord to be blasphemed among the Gentiles because of them.
However, the battle must be waged in the spiritual realm as well. Much prayer and even fasting on account of these things.

Yes, Christians should stand up against ungodly laws; in particular locally. Think about the relationship of justice and righteousness: if we accept injustice by not speaking out against it, we are tacitly approving of the harm that comes from it. That is wholly incompatible with loving our neighbor equally. Hence, it is impossible to be righteous if we are accepting of injustice in our communities. www.UncleRaisin.com
