Press Release: Theology Moved To The Senate And Was Arrested Press Release • 7/12/2007 Theology has moved from the church house onto the floor of the United States Senate, and has been arrested.
Ante Pavkovic, Kathy Pavkovic, and Kristen Sugar were all arrested in the chambers of the United States Senate as that chamber was violated by a false Hindu god. The Senate was opened with a Hindu prayer placing the false god of Hinduism on a level playing field with the One True God, Jesus Christ. This would never have been allowed by our Founding Fathers.
“Not one Senator had the backbone to stand as our Founding Fathers stood. They stood on the Gospel of Jesus Christ! There were three in the audience with the courage to stand and proclaim, ‘Thou shalt have no other gods before me.’ They were immediately removed from the chambers, arrested, and are in jail now. God bless those who stand for Jesus as we know that He stands for them.” Rev. Flip Benham, Director, Operation Save America/Operation Rescue

CHECK THIS OUT!!! QUOTE: "As the Senate prepared for another day of debate over the Iraq war, Zed closed with, "Peace, peace, peace be unto all." 1 Thessalonians 5:3 (King James Version) 3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. www.foxnews.com/wires/2007Jul12/0,4670,SenatePrayer,00.html

You obviously have no concept for sarcasm, Eric. They were not praising Jesus, they were chastising Americans and Christians for their so-called "acceptance" in light of unjustly berating a cleric who wanted no more than to offer a non-denominational prayer of peace in a time of war.
Actually pull your head out of your behind and listen to the man's prayer. Never once did he mention Shiva. Never once did he mention Krishna. He spoke of a "Lord" once, but only one "Lord", not multiples. His prayer was as unbiased and nondenominational as I have witnessed in a long time.
I applaud Zed's courage for doing what he did. It took a lot of guts not to chastise those not a very nice person right then and there. It also took a lot of guts for him to do what he did, as much guts as it takes Miles or any of the others who come to Oswego to debate me and my classmates.
Finally, if you don't like what happened, having a Hindu minister pray before the Senate, I have no problem with that. What's your business is your business. But keep your bigotry to yourself. There was no reason those people couldn't have quietly walked out of the chambers until the prayer was over, or bowed their heads and said their own silent prayer while ignoring Zed's. No reason whatsoever.
So, next time, before chastising a man simply because he is of a different religion, actually listen to what he has to say. Open your mind, your ears, and your heart. You might actually learn something instead of trying to drown it out by shouting the same old mantra all the time.

I'm really proud of them. I was in Washington DC for the rally against the hate crime legislation and I met them there. Their daughter, kristen I believe, really has a heart for the Lord. We bumped into a group of sodomites dressed as 'pink police" and she witnessed to them. She did such a fine job.....In fact they drove us back to our hotel and we said our goodbuys.......they are very fine Christian people.

I certainly love how insulting and defiling another's religion has suddenly turned into "standing up for Jesus." Didn't Jesus preach about love and acceptance? What the hell is with all the condemnation lately (no pun intended). The pope saying all those outside the Catholic church "aren't real Christians", these so-called "Christians" trying to shout down someone of another faith when he offers a non-denominational prayer...
Seriously, y'all need to chill out about all of this. There was nothing offensive in the prayer, and those people's actions, and this type of response to it, is only pushing more people away from the church.

There was nothing offensive in the prayer, and those people's actions, and this type of response to it, is only pushing more people away from the church. No, Jesus did NOT preach about acceptance. Here are some of His own words....notice how he (and His apostles) DIDN'T accept all religions and religious behaviors: Matt 23:33-34 "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? 34 Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. NIV 2 Peter 2:13-14 They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. 14 With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed- an accursed brood !NIV John 8:42-47 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. 43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies , he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies . 45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47 He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God." NIV Jude 4 4 For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. NIV These other religions are not the truth of God. Nor is it the salvation of Jesus Christ. Notice the words of the Apostle Paul and how "accepting" he was of false gospels: Gal 1:8-9 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! NIV Jude says in his epistle to "contend earnestly" for the faith. That word "contend" is the same word Paul uses when he uses a boxing metaphor in another epistle. In other words: fight for the faith! Our fighting should be respectful. We are not to have "jihads" and actual armed battle. That will happen later when Christ comes back, but that's His gig to lead-not ours. But to just stand idly by and be "accepting?" Sorry charlie, no can do.

What's all this talk about what our Founding Fathers stood for yo?? As far as I can see those uppity Christians were the ones going against what our FF stood for!
It just so happens I have my fab. Media Law book in front of me reading the first chapter (which of course goes over the basics of U.S. law). Ahem, allow me to quote the first Amendment. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment or religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof (...)." The Founding Fathers said that, they AGREED on that. Nothing about, or anythign coming CLOSE to, shutting down other religions.
Nope, sorry y'alls, you're wrong.
'Cause knowledge is power! Now get out there educate yourselves. That includes your wives, sisters and other women you've been repressing. Don't get me started on that; got an awesome 'Global Perspectives of Women' class I will be able to draw upon.
