For those of you that have preached in the open air and in churches... or anyone that wants to have input...
What do you think about the differences? As far as preaching to saints vs sinners. I know when I have preached in church's I preach totally different... as far as my body language and the way I speak. Content is different too.. well atleast there is more that repentance and remission of sin (which is my focus on the street).
Any one have any thoughts they wannta share?

I think John Wesley has the very best input on this, "The world is my parish"

I have preached numerous times in both setting Josh and unless you know the congregation real well, the message might not differ too much. There are many lost sinners and false converts (the same except the latter think they are saved) in the Church, so my message always has a part for those who are on their way to Hell as is evident by the fruit of their lives. The way I preach in each place really doesn't differ much at all. I preach things that are much deeper inside a church building, because you assume that some there are Christians who are looking to grow in the Lord...hope this helps. If you have more specific questions, please ask...

No certain questions....
I preached at my church last night and I noticed after-wards how different my body language is. When in the open air I'm much more animated. When in the church I don't raise my voice a lot, and I'm don't move around a lot. I don't really know why... Just wondering if I'm the only weirdo!
My message is similar, but as you said, in the church (especially when you know them all personally) you desire to edify and encourage them to truly forsake all and follow him, not just in theory but in actuality.
I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts on it.
I remember someone saying that preaching should convert sinners and convict saints.. or something to that effect.
