I'm just curious if anyone was ever a heckler before they were converted. I think that would be interesting. Before I was converted I never witnessed any OA preaching.
If you did witness OA peaching before your conversion what did you think about it at the time?

I used to be catholic before I realized that I was a sinner and needed to repent and live for Jesus.I witnessed a lot of people open air preaching in Africa as I was growing up(thats where am from),i used to think that they were too loud and were disturbing everyone.Once my aunt was a heckler and disrupted the open air preaching and I was so happy that she did that.I never knew that years later I would be led by God to open air preach!!!!!

John Duncan from www.gospeljohn.com was a heckler at Jim Gilles' campus open air meetings and then he got converted! Jim later said that Brother John was his biggest catch. John was telling us all the story last night. It was great. Be sure to check out his website and watch the videos. Brother John has some awesome stuff and there will be more to come. He is really sharing a lot of wisdom with the open team about open air and pre-suppositional apologetics. Don't be surprised to see some new stuff coming from Open Air Outreach as well in the near future.

I actually only saw one person in my life do OA preaching.I was saved for about 2 months when I saw this guy in a very busy intersection in Groton,CT doing OA preaching. He was yelling at everyone telling them about the judgment of God and about hell.I remenbar him taking me aside and making sure I was saved.I also remenbar him saying he just moved here from someplace down south.I thought he was crazy.First I am thinking to myself back than the cars are all going by so fast no one can really hear him.I think he might of also been holding up an sign too.I do remenbar him holding up the bible and screaming at people.I also remenbar people going by and fliping him the birdie. So he was the only guy I actually saw doing OA preaching.Though my husband has done some OA preaching, I have not got to see him yet.I have seen him preach in churches though and do witnessing to lots of people.I hope to soon see OA preaching .So anybody coming to CT to do some OA preaching....let us know.We would love to see some OA preaching.

The book Brother John recommends on presuppositional apologetics is "Always Ready" by Greg Bahnsen.
I just ordered the book and can't wait to get it. The more I see these biblical methods in action the more I want to jump in the battle myself.

Greg Bahnsen?? I just got back from visiting my daughter and sil and he burned a CD for me full of Bahnsen's lectures on theonomy. He recommended going to www.freebooks.com to find Bahnsen's books. In fact, I was just about to leave the house, and I put out the CD to listen to it. Michael, our sil, and Allie told me that they have been very blessed by listening to the teaching by this man. Can't wait to hear it for myself. Miles, I really hope you and the guys can head over to Charleston to visit Allie and Michael. Wish I could be there to see you, too. I'm glad you're posting pictures cuz I would've forgotten what you look like! ;D

Wow, we are really getting into Bahnsen stuff right now. On a campus today we had the chance today to start implementing some of his ideas about presuppositional apologetics using internal critiques of the said designated worldviews to disprove their epistomolgy in a logical way to show that they are in fact reductio ad absurdium. Even using this we were still able to obtain some ad hominem attacks which of course as we all know is a fallacious argument on the battle field of civil debate.

That is why you need the gift of interpretation of tongues Armen. All of us Pentecostals know that Miles is speaking in tongues.

Ah hem... That's Itinerant Campus Apologist my dear sir. By the way, did I mention I have an MA, BA, DD, and a PhD... I've been Marvelously Altered, Born Again, and I'm a Devil Destroyin, Preacher of hellfire and Damnation.
LOL, just jackin around fellas, but seriously on these campuses, the smart ones, the students actually know what all those ontological words mean.

Miles I am in college and I don't know what those words mean . Considering the fact that many college students that visit this message board cannot spell, I am not sure they will know the meaning of those words either. I think they are faking because they wouldn't want to be outsmarted by one of those Christians zealots!! ;D
