Saturday, I spent the day at the Battle Cry event in San Francisco. I went with another GNNer and we met up with Paul (a GNNer as well) at SBC "Giants" Park. Paul is sold out on 5-point. I don't fall under 5-point, or even 4, 3, or 2-point, nor do I fall under Arminian, so I'm the 'whatever'. But we had another awesome day winning souls, laboring for the kingdom. And as we did, we had a great time in fellowship, humoring ourselves with "reformed/non-reformed" jokes throught. It was an awesome day, great great fellowship, and laboring for the same GOD. May He be praised and glorified in us!

How was the Battle Cry event?
Krista (my fiance) is the head of all the volunteers for the stadium events. She was there too and she said there were a good amount of protestors etc etc.

Hmm, wonder if she was the one that replied to my request for volunteer info. Cool! Well, the event is a top knoch event... but I got more and more appauled by the selection of music. Delirious and Camp did some awesome worship and I'm sure a couple others might have, but I couldn't believe stuff that others played. For example, remaking an old 70's song that's about wanting to have raw sex and making like its now talking about GOD? That was an hour after hearing the U2 song too. It got worse. But you know, seeing the kids going in and out of there, you wouldn't have any clue it was Christian. There was just as much vulgar language, disrespectful play, and abominable dress. I saw things that would make Manson look normal. There was rebellion, anarchy, anti-Christian, and mysticism dress all over the place. But the most disturbing thing was that leaders and parents allowed it! But we got about 4000-5000 tracts out in 9 hours, spoke to many and got some great contacts. Yup, there were a couple liberals handing out anti-Bush literature that looked similar to our money tracts, so we had to start saying "These are NOT those liberal things, these are gospel tracts, they're safe!" and then people would take em. And the "True Church" was out in force! They protest everything and anything they can. They preach much truth against the wolves in sheeps clothing, but there was absolutely no love expressed. For instance, 90% of them wore dark sun glasses, IN THE RAIN and OVERCAST weather? They looked like terminators, mean and unhappy. But they were committed. Sadly, lots of people took part in harrassing them and being rude back. Sad sad sad... But there were quite a few awesome brothers and sisters we met there too... glory to GOD for that support and encouragement!
