Greeting, i wanted to ask any of you, has there been a time in your life, that when you stepped up past Open Air preaching, or witnessing to someone and made any friend's through a conversion, that lead to teaching that person..to a point they got passed the milk of the word, they were eating meat, even through you served it, they were the ones who chewed it, and were in "training in righteousness".
The reason i am writing this, is i give God the Glory, in the redemptive blood of Christ Jesus.. I am not blowing horns here, or trying to prove anything, but the word of God is truth.. Last night i was honored and humbled by someone that said: i thank the Lord for you, and thank you for being there to help me, when no one else would..I has seen the fruit of thankfulness in this person, the fruit of repentance, and now the fruit of righteousness in this person... I thank God Almighty that i have seen with my own eyes( the faith that we possessing, is the Power of His word working in this person's life, through our obedience)..and i thank God for showing me this on this side of Heaven...HIS GLORY.... ;D 2 Tim 3:16-17
Anyone else with a story of God's Glory?
Blessed Regards..

I would not call what you describe as friendship evangelism. I would call it evangelism that leads to discipleship. To many, friendship evangelism carries with is a negative connotation, because many see it as the modern-day approach to evangelism. You share your faith with someone by becoming friends with them and letting them "see Jesus in you" - of course you never get around to telling them about God's law, judgment, holiness, righteousness, and sanctification, but hey, they "see Jesus" and you did your part.
I know you are not talking about this kind of false gospel, but just wanted to let you know that that term for many means something entirely different from what you do yourself. I think it is a wonderful thing when it does happen and we can form friendships with those we share with, but that too is a calling with certain giftings needed. (teaching, shepherding, mercy, etc. depending on situation)
just my thoughts...

according to Barna's website and research on evangelism, over 80% of Christians share their faith. Of course we all know this not to be true but when you read the definition of "sharing their faith" is is ridiculous stuff like sending "Christian" emails, taking someone to church, etc. I emailed George Barna about this and asked why the questions were so screwed up. He himself doesn't belive this to be true evangelism but the research brought out how others define it, sadly enough.

Jules,
I am not trying to nitpick, but do you think you should use the word "screwed up"? I have noticed this on several of your posts. Do you think you could find a word to express what you mean that is not so coarse?
