I love to sing hymns and recite psalms and meditate(not eastern religious type, i.e. Biblical meditaion) on the words. I thought it would start a thread where people could share hymns and Palsms that have really blessed them. The following hymn is one of my favorites...
OH, TO SEE THE DAWN Of the darkest day: Christ on the road to Calvary. Tried by sinful men, Torn and beaten, then Nailed to a cross of wood.
This, the power of the cross: Christ became sin for us. Took the blame, bore the wrath - We stand forgiven at the cross.
Oh, to see the pain Written on Your face, Bearing the awesome weight of sin. Every bitter thought, Every evil deed Crowning Your bloodstained brow.
Now the daylight flees, Now the ground beneath Quakes as its Maker bows His head. Curtain torn in two, Dead are raised to life; ‘Finished!’ the victory cry.
Oh, to see my name Written in the wounds, For through Your suffering I am free. Death is crushed to death, Life is mine to live, Won through Your selfless love.
(Final chorus) This, the power of the cross: Son of God - slain for us. What a love! What a cost! We stand forgiven at the cross.

I really enjoy listening to many hymns to. Here are my favourite two:
There Is A Fountain
1. There is fountain filled with blood Drawn from Emmanuel’s veins; And sinners plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains.
2. The dying thief rejoiced to see That fountain in his day; And there may I, though vile as he, Wash all my sins away.
3. Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood Shall never lose its power ’Til all the ransomed church of God Be saved to sin no more.
4. E’er since, by faith, I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply, Redeeming love has been my theme, And shall be ’til I die.
5. When this poor lisping, stammering tongue Lies silent in the grave, Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save.
My Jesus I Love Thee
1. My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine; For Thee, all the follies Of sin I resign; My gracious Redeemer, My Savior art Thou; If ever I loved Thee, My Jesus 'tis now.
2. I love Thee because Thou hast first loved me, And purchased my pardon On Calvary's tree; I love Thee for wearing The thorns on Thy brow; If ever I loved Thee, My Jesus 'tis now
3. I'll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death, And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath; And say, when the death-dew Lies cold on my brow; If ever I loved Thee, My Jesus 'tis now.
4. In mansions of glory And endless delight, I'll ever adore Thee In heaven so bright; And singing Thy praises, Before Thee I'll bow; If ever I loved Thee, My Jesus 'tis now.

This one makes me cry everytime I sing it:
IN THE SWEET BY AND BY
There’s a land that is fairer than day, And by faith we can see it afar; For the Father waits over the way To prepare us a dwelling place there.
Refrain
In the sweet by and by, We shall meet on that beautiful shore; In the sweet by and by, We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
We shall sing on that beautiful shore The melodious songs of the blessed; And our spirits shall sorrow no more, Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.
Refrain
To our bountiful Father above, We will offer our tribute of praise For the glorious gift of His love And the blessings that hallow our days.

Although I must say, this is probably my favorite: Hallelujah! What a SaviorMan of Sorrows! what a name For the Son of God, Who came Ruined sinners to reclaim. Hallelujah! What a Savior! Bearing shame and scoffing rude, In my place condemned He stood; Sealed my pardon with His blood. Hallelujah! What a Savior! Guilty, vile, and helpless we; Spotless Lamb of God was He; “Full atonement!” can it be? Hallelujah! What a Savior! Lifted up was He to die; “It is finished!” was His cry; Now in Heav’n exalted high. Hallelujah! What a Savior! When He comes, our glorious King, All His ransomed home to bring, Then anew His song we’ll sing: Hallelujah! What a Savior! cyberhymnal.org/htm/h/a/halwasav.htm

I love this Hymn:
All For Jesus
All for Jesus, all for Jesus! All my being’s ransomed powers: All my thoughts and words and doings, All my days and all my hours.
Refrain
All for Jesus! All for Jesus! All my days and all my hours; All for Jesus! All for Jesus! All my days and all my hours.
Let my hands perform His bidding, Let my feet run in His ways; Let my eyes see Jesus only, Let my lips speak forth His praise.
Refrain
Worldlings prize their gems of beauty, Cling to gilded toys of dust, Boast of wealth and fame and pleasure; Only Jesus will I trust.
Refrain
Since my eyes were fixed on Jesus, I’ve lost sight of all beside; So enchained my spirit’s vision, Looking at the Crucified.
Refrain
Oh, what wonder! how amazing! Jesus, glorious King of kings, Deigns to call me His belovèd, Lets me rest beneath His wings.

How Great Thou Art
O Lord, my God, When I in awesome wonder; Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made. I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Refrain
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee; How great Thou art! How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee; How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
When through the woods and forest glades I wander; And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees; When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur, And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze.
Refrain
And when I think of God, His Son not sparing; Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in, That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing; He bled and died to take away my sin.
Refrain
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclaimation; And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow, in humble adoration, And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!

My Fav.
It is Well with my Soul
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, It is well, it is well, with my soul.
Refrain
It is well, with my soul, It is well, with my soul, It is well, it is well, with my soul. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
Refrain
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
Refrain
And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, Even so, it is well with my soul.

I Cannot See Thy Face and Live
John Wesley
1 TO thee, great God of love! I bow, And prostrate in thy sight adore; By faith I see thee passing now; I have, but still I ask for more, A glimpse of love cannot suffice, My soul for all thy presence cries.
2 I cannot see thy face, and live, Then let me see thy face, and die! Now, Lord, my gasping spirit receive, Give me on eagles' wings to fly, With eagles' eyes on thee to gaze, And plunge into the glorious blaze.
3 The fulness of my vast reward A blest eternity shall be; But hast thou not on earth prepared Some better thing than this for me? What, but one drop! one transient sight! I want a sun, a sea of light.
4 Moses thy backward parts might view, But not a perfect sight obtain; The Gospel doth thy fulness show To us, by the commandment slain; The dead to sin shall find the grace, The pure in heart shall see thy face.
5 More favoured than the saints of old, Who now by faith approach to thee Shall all with open face behold In Christ the glorious Deity; Shall see, and put the Godhead on, The nature of thy sinless Son.
6 This, this is our high calling's prize! Thine image in thy Son I claim; And still to higher glories rise, Till all transformed I know thy name, And glide to all my heaven above, My highest heaven in Jesu's love.
Honestly I don't know if that it the correct title for sure. I love this hymn.
