Vote wisely.

I still don't know what to make of these threads... Vote wisely. Which threads are you referring to? And remember, Micah started this. I am as flabbergasted as you are. I still don't think they should be deleted.

I'm curious, why are there three options to a yes/no question?

I still don't know what to make of these threads... Vote wisely. Miles, do you really believe that the VERY limited "silly" threads are threatening to God, the Gospel or morality in general? Possibly, if one allows the thread, it may crack a smile on someone's face and open them up a little to the fact the even us Christians....gasp! smile too

I find it amusing how many of the "unchristian" posters on here constantly try to flaunt their sinfulness, shock us poor, naive, ignorant fundies with their immorality, attach all these blatantly anti Christian phrases on their posts, but then when you have a poll to see who the worst is some of them act as if they are offended.

True, messenger....
I was thinking, also:
I don;t yell at my dad everyday, nor my brother nor did I yell at my mom before she was Born Again in 1999.
Yes, I've certainly debated and argued and stood my ground.
Yeah...I admit I even got upset sometimes and I admit also that once in a while I yelled.
But you know, my mom came to church with me in 1999, gave her life to Jesus Christ based on repentance and faith, and is today, 7 years later, soundly saved and not once "fell into" sin, and today, again, 7 years later, is a Deaconess at our city's largest Charismatic Church, holds women's Bible study, is respected among the saved and lost alike (the Bible says we're to have no reproach among even the heathen if we are to have authority positions in church), gives and doesn;t brag it, loves and doesn;t expect it back and she's a holy woman.I would dare venture to say that I have not met anyone as dedicated to Jesus, on a personal level, than my mom.
My mom was a "noral" sinner; smoked, drank, blah blah... but when she came to Calvary; it was gone....and gone forever.
How'd she come?
She came by being softly told Jesus paid the sin debt that she owed and that she was destined for hell without Salvation.
That message, along with home visits, hugs and prayer, caused my mom to come to Jesus.
Yeah, some con artists will say that "that's not the way you do it".
hahaha.... oh yeah?
My mom's lifestyle matches that of David Wilkerson, Ravenhill and the best of the best.
She came kneeling at the door of repentance.
Now, crazy as it is, I have so many doctrinal debates with mom....she's Arminian and I'm not.
She;s a Charismatic in the sense of being in an assembly that I simply am not comfortable with.
They have Jesus.
They preach Jesus.
It;s just arminian, and that's my problem.
You know, when I think about it, my mom has not once single time ever ever raised her voice to me, but her only reply is, "If you seek Jesus, He'll open your eyes...I can't give you what only God can"
She refuses to "fight".
Gosh I love my mom!
The point is that the door of repentance is sometimes painted with the wrong brush; we sometimes can give off an air of "I'm better than you".
I wanna be like my mom.
My mom is like Jesus.
Paul said "follow me as I follow Christ".
Yes, there's a time for ALL of it... but a one sided method may cause someone to throw up rather than grow up.
Let's smile, and yes, we CAN do that without compromising.
PS: I aplogize also, for getting out of line with my words at times.

My opinion is that it's not a big deal. It wasn't meant to be taken as a big deal.
It sparked a thought. I was thinking about bringing some sort of 1# Red Ribbon out on campus to give away to the biggest heathen in the crowd.

Our site this week will host a "Heathen Of The Month" page. Thanks all! Good idea Jesse! hehehehe

How about a mouthy female award? oh my, THAT would have to be a daily award, there are so many to choose from these days. Rebellion in women is embarrassing. Of course, I also don't care for it when men who are too lazy to lead either. Both are sinful.

Suspenders are great! I wear mine every Sunday to church. Very fundie looking. Very offensive to liberals. Very politically incorrect.
