Saturday-
After the prayer meeting, I met Clint out on the square. We stood around with a sign for awhile. We didn't get a whole lot of response. Then Lee showed up and told us there were several people out on Dickson Street, so we went there.
When we first got there, we seen a wooden box with writing all over it. When we got closer we seen it was our regular “mockers.” They had made a box about 4ft tall that had writing on it such as “There is no Hell” “Sinners unite” and such. They usually come out at least one night of the weekend.
They are persecuted from time to time, but it's surely not for righteousness sake! Some “God fearing drunks” don't like them. They were standing by their box and a man walked by, talked to us, then talked to them, then went into the bar. Not too long after going into the bar he comes out and kicks there box over and pushes the “leader” of the group down. He then gets back up and mouths something off and ends up getting pushed down again. We decided to get some distance from it. While we were walking back the drunk walked away and while he was walking beside us began to tell us how much he “loved Jesus.” How sad! I would have liked to explain to him he was not a Christian just because he gets mad when someone mocks God.
The “leader” ended up getting drunk and standing up on the box (remember it's about 4ft high) and preach his lies. Mainly he was just yelling about how Christianity is a lie. He actually gathered a few people around to listen to his junk. Some people would come to us and ask if he was with us-of course we were quick to tell them he wasn't. A couple walks up to us and very concerned in a seemingly Christian manner asks us if we have witnessed to this man on the box before because it appeared he didn't have eternal life. I told her the situation how he is a preachers son and comes out often. She then says something to the effect “I will see if I can get him down so we can pray for him.” I told her it wouldn't do a lot of good because he was drunk. The couple went over to talk to him. After a few minutes later I hear a “BOOM!” I look over and see the wooden box and the board was broke on one side and the “preacher” was laying on the ground on top of it. The male of the “Christian couple” kicked the box out from under him! That is so wicked! Remember this box is about 4ft tall! It took him awhile to get up off the ground. This type of stuff happens to them from time to time.
It makes me sick to see these people that think they are Christians and violent. They are NOT Christians. This is a typical product of the modern gospel. They say they love Christ yet are filled with sin.
