I remembered those words from a commercial played a while back yesterday afternoon. Why did I remember you may ask? Did I go to a nursing home? Did I go visit an elderly person from my Church? No, No. I took the week off this week to help my wife recover from her pregnancy and help her with the kids. Well, yesterday, I was getting ready to take my son the the park so my wife could have some piece and quiet (take a nap). My son was watching Blues Clues and I was about to get into the shower. As I stepped into the shower, my foot slipped and I went flying in the air. I hit the middle of my right leg pretty hard and hit my neck pretty hard on the back of the tub. I heard something snap and the first thing I thought was "I just broke my neck" because that is the part of me that hurt the worst. Thank God it wasn't though. I looked down at my right leg and it had a cut in the middle of it. I felt fluid rush to it like crazy. I yelled out to my son, "GET MOMMY MALACHI!" He said, "Um, I'm watching blues clues daddy." He didn't have to. My wife heard all 240lbs. of me go "THUD!" She came running up and called 911 for me because I didn't want to take any chances with my leg. The ambulance came along with three EMT's. As we were on our way to the hospital, two of them knew my father very well. He used to be the Chief of their EMS. The other one was a student at NC State. I was beginning to see what God was doing. I didn't have any tracts on me, but I will be going to see them soon to thank them and give them tracts. They got me to the hospital and a lady started to check me in. As she was asking me where I work, etc. She said, "May I ask you a question?" I knew by the way she said that, that is had nothing to do with her normal line of questions. She said, "I've been wondering about this since my brother and sister-in-law died all of a sudden 6 months ago. Where do the souls of people go when they die?" CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! That's the first time I have EVER been asked that question out right! I've been asked similar questions to that AFTER I have begun witnessing to someone, but NEVER like this! I got to answer her question and talk to her a little more. I will be following up with her real soon too. Praise God that He fulfills His Purposes and NOT MINE! It turns out that I did break my leg. I have a hairline fracture, so I have to stay off of it for two weeks. Got a cast and crutches. God just gave me more time to pray. I thank Him for that! May His will be done!
