the secular (secular is defined by christian terms for the sake of this topic) community is a population that reduces christianity to child's play. we outnumber christ's army 50 to 1, yet we are losing to ignorance and an illusion of hope that does not exist.
the secular community would greatly benefit from two thousand years of christian unity. instead, we bicker amongst ourselves and while we seek to validate ourselves (self-worth) to our christian brethern they continue to grow in numbers and strength. we are divided over petty theories and only argue with each other instead of directly assaulting the christian community with the intelligence and tools neccesary to rebuke what is nothing more than an empty religion consumed with hate, violence and evil (these terms are culturally relevant and have no [religious] moral bearing in life).
ironically, the secular world needs to, 'practice what it preaches' and accept others' scientific and/or spiritual views. however, we live in a world of limitations, and though we long for tolerance and peace we know there will always be intolerance and war. this culture has made a pact with its forefathers to protect the weak, and the secular community must stand together against crimes against humanity. innocence, freedom and justice are all values integrated into this society. christianity also teaches us that we do not need an invisible daddy in the sky to give meaning to our lives. we have learned from their example, hopefully, that meaning is determined by the individual and all we need is social interaction.
in conclusion, we need to unite. we cannot draw lines in the sand and expect to stand against the brute that is christianity. we need to live by standards integrated by our society.
i have an idea that i would like to share with my fellow secularists. what if we established a community that would take a united, intelligent stand against christianity? what if this community was more than words, essays and friends discussing a particular distaste for a sect of religion that was destroying america--and the world? what if we learned that christianity developed the right tools for prostelyzation? what if we countered their faith by using their methods against them?
i am not speaking of starting a religion, but instead a revolution against fundamentalist christianity. we will have to prove to the masses that there is nothing to find in this element of christianity but emptiness and despair.
do you believe that the doors of fundamentalist churches can be closed forever? do you believe that people like jesse can be put in a mental institution, and that criminals of god can be put behind bars?
no one person can do this, but in numbers...well, you know the expression.
note: this is not a testament against christianity alone, or against all christians. this is a revolution against what our society considers to be extremists.
