no one really cares how it is spelled. i apologize if i misspelled it, but i am not going to lose any sleep over it.
armageddon. we have not really discussed this issue in the aspect in which i am presenting it. i hope this topic turns out well, because it is fascinating to me and should be a cause of alarm to any intelligent, sensible human being.
fundamentalists christians, in my opinion, are earnestly and intentionally pressing the modern world towards the end of the world. you hear 'peace' slither from the lips of a few christians in passing, but a majority of the time it is only sung to their savior, 'the prince of peace' who will rescue them from this wicked world once the prophecies in revelation is fulfilled.
a fundamentalist who is thoroughly knowledged in theology knows that revelation predicts the end times to be in chaos. there will be no peace. period. the dominionists, a sect of christian fundamentalist politicians who have aligned themselves with the republican party are desperately trying to push america down the slippery slope of theocracy...
...and with god in control, as the verse states in philippians four-thirteen, anything is possible. the fundamentalist zombie brigade of the republican party, and those who vote for them, have no intention of reaching out 'across the aisle' to other parties, because to christians of this extreme: conformity is death. they believe that there is no such thing as a moderate or liberal christian, and have no respect for the wishes of others unlike them.
this is a party of universal concern. they believe they are universally right and therefore care only for themselves and people who think like them. this is all evidence that these people want things 'their way or the highway.'
..like bush said, "you are either with us or against us." i guess you can call me a terrorist then. haha.
what other reasoning do i use to provide evidence of winds of change? war. president bush declared, "i am a war president." we all know that war, terrorism, etc. has been around for a long time, but if you stop to think of where it all began from a biblical point of view, its actually kind of frightening. where does this all begin according to the bible?
the fall of man. yep, adam and eve ate that apple and it was history for all of us. good bye, you're all toast. poof. gone. however, i think it all began a little later considering the damage that was caused. the murder of abel is the direction i am taking this.
fox news and the fundamentalist/dominionist republican party distort the meaning of terrorism, but if you look it up it means this: anything that causes fear. simple, eh?
terrorism is not a slight against all muslims, or towards any race. terrorism is kidnapping. terrorism is rape. terrorism is abuse, bullying, war, or the toppling of two towers resulting in the murder of over two thousand americans. there are terrorists in all nations, and depending on how people see one another...we are terrorists to the radical muslims we are fighting.
the point is this: christians desire all this to happen because it fulfills prophecy. they have no need for peace when they dream of heaven. think about it. they consider their lives to be worthless, and their deaths (afterlife) to be eternal.
the prophecy of the bible is self-fulfilling. this simply means that anyone who studies religious literature can attempt to make prophecy become true if all the standards, requirements and expectations are met.
jesus was born in bethlehem. great. how many babies are born in the same city on one night? i think it depends on where you live, but usually a good number. jesus was a carpenter. carpenter work was very popular, especially since not much else was available to practice. jesus was a jew, obviously, and the name itself is common, basically, joshua. jesus was a leader and had the right personality. the jews were searching for prophecy to fulfill. they were seeking a savior, and someone who would raise them out of the romans' hands. perfect. jesus' death and resurrection can be explained by using the same method. when someone commits a crime and it involves several people, or more, then everyone gets their stories straight in case they have to talk to the police.
did this really happen? no. i am not offering up a solution to what actually happened. i have no idea, i was not there, but the people that believe have faith--not evidence.
so, in saying all this, i believe that an extremist sect of christianity has rose up in our very government, and though it appears that our freedoms are safe...look around you. we are in a rebuplican dominated senate and house. bush elected several people to the supreme court regardless to the thoughts or reactions/rebuttals of other parties.
they do not care. they will send us all to our deaths to achieve their goals. we will fight their wars in the name of their god if you let them. look around you. the stage is set and the war in israel has begun.
i want to warn all of my heathen friends to use this as an opportunity to educate themselves on christian literature and theology.
i know that we are getting a lot of heat from the christian community proclaiming that we persecute them and they are the ones who are being violated--in terms of rights, so on and so forth.
however, just look around...
...the christian extremists are few and far between but they are brainwashing the proles to seeing the world through their twisted eyes. this is exactly what is happening in the middle east. the muslim clerics are the extremists, not the muslims. the muslims are being blindly led by the clerics to do things against their own religion.
did you know that most of the muslims in afghanistan/iraq/iran, etc. cannot even read the qur'an? they go to mosque, and they are fed this extremist propaganda much like the christians were fed before the king james bible was written. how do you think christians got their information? priests. the ones who sent them off to fight the crusades and murder millions of people.
unfortunately, we can all read, but the christians today are often times still misled. this is not their fault, and though they may become enemies to us you must retain an objective, level head.
they may be right. the end may be near, and these idiots are bringing it upon us.
