Brother, that is the an amazing sermon. Leonard Ravenhill was indeed dangerous.

Paul Washer is great. Very powerful preaching. I enjoy listening to preachers who I can tell actually read the same bible I read!
I'm wondering though, what exactly does a Calvinist have to live up to?
I understand that Arminians have a theology to live up to, and many do not. Arminians believe in free will and in holiness. A person who believes you can live free from sin ought to himself live free from sin.
But as far as Calvinism goes, they don't believe in free will to do good, they believe in a sinful nature that causes you to sin your whole life, so what exactly does a Calvinist have to live up to other then a life of sin?
It's an honest and humble question.

What I believe Paul Washer is referring to is the fact that a True Calvinist believes that when God saves someone, God radically changes that person! Anything less means they are not part of the elect and are not saved at all!

I guess I'm so used to the types of people who use teachings like predestination and original sin to excuse blatant sin in their own lives. I guess I've gotten so much of that, I've started to think it's all like that.

Washer is awesome...and he's such a timid guy when he's not preaching...

"It's about conversion! It's about preachers! It's not about little boys who can speak the words of parrots, it's about men who dwell in the presence of God. His words who have been burned into the reality of their heart and they speak forth truth come hell or high water!" - Paul Washer
